Truly superb customer service!
It would be fair to say that my original review (see below) was not particularly complementary, but now, after what I can only describe as truly superb customer service I wish to amend my review. After commenting on the poor performance of the ring door bell, Jakob from Ring customer services got in touch via email offering advice and suggestions to improve my units performance, it has taken us a short while, but I can now report that my Ring door bell is working as it should and providing exceptional results, giving me peace of mind with notifying me of any one entering our property. It is a shame that one can only give five stars because the level of dedicated, professional customer service demonstrated deserves a far higher rating. My previous review: “I seriously regret this purchase, when it does work, the time it takes to notify me that someone is on my property is far too long, (I have a full fibre internet connection- so it’s not my internet speed). Visitors have usually been and gone before I am notified. In addition it often fails to even register that people are arriving - today for example we have had four visitors and yet none were identified. The whole point of the product is security but it fails spectacularly.”

Ring Battery Doorbell
I am so happy with this Ring Doorbell. Just what I needed, was just waiting for it to go down in price before buying and it did, It Is better than expected. The pictures are very clear. Very simple to set up. Highly Recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Disappointing
OK during free period. Paid £50 annual fee to continue. Went downhill from there.Sporadic reports and phone ringtone notifications don't work.Yes, I've checked all the parameters...Spent a lot of money on extra devices including batteries etc. It is possible to do this a lot cheaper I'm told. Disappointed.....

A Game-Changer for Home Security!
Absolutely love the Ring Battery Video Doorbell Pro! From the moment I installed it (which was super easy and took less than 10 minutes), I could see a huge difference in the quality and performance compared to previous models. The video is incredibly clear, even at night, and the two-way audio is crisp and responsive.I really appreciate that it's completely wireless – no messy wiring, and the battery lasts much longer than I expected. The motion detection is spot on and I love being able to customise the alerts and zones through the app. It gives me real peace of mind when I'm away from home.If you're looking to upgrade your home security or want a reliable, easy-to-use video doorbell, this is 100% worth it. Highly recommend!

Worse quality than the older Ring Doorbell 2. What has Ring done?
The picture quality of the Pro is noticeable poorer compared to my old Video Doorbell 2, which is 6 years old. I thought the new Pro would be a decent upgrade but I'm very annoyed that it's a massive step backwards and I will explain why.The video is much darker in shadows which makes it harder to see features on people's faces, even when standing right in front of the camera. Contrast is not right and there are no controls to adjust it. My old Doorbell 2 shows a brighter image that clearly shows faces in better detail instead of turning it into a shadow. The main purpose of these cameras is to record faces to show to the police to help identify a potential criminal, and the Pro fails on that account when compared directly to the Doorbell 2.The other backward step is the super-wide angle lens on the Pro which is 150 degrees. While it sees a wider view, it means the face of the person standing in front of your door is smaller, and you need to zoom in further which causes more pixelisation. Whoever thought the 150 degree lens was a good idea should be fired for ruining the product. Compared side-by-side with the Doorbell 2 with a 130 degree lens, it's a world apart. You'd be mistaken for thinking the Doorbell 2 was the newer model. To check if I didn't have a defective model, I called Ring support. They did the usual "reset and start again" routine with me which didn't help, so they passed me on to the higher level of tech support. The guy saw the video quality and said that's what to expect from the Pro, it looks normal to him.So that's confirmed then, the quality of the new Pro is ***WORSE*** than the 6 year old Doorbell 2. As the Pro is double the price of the Doorbell 2, you'd think they'd put in a better quality camera, not a worse one. While the pixel resolution of the Pro's camera is higher, the super-wide angle lens counteracts that because it makes faces smaller so you need to zoom in further which increases pixelisation.Night vision is supposed to be improved in the Pro, so I tested it out against my old Doorbell 2. No, no, no, the Pro was awful. My face was washed out with low quality detail. The Doorbell 2 had great contrast in comparison and my face was much clearer. Just to be clear, both doorbells were on the same wall, same position, and I was standing in exactly the same place. The Pro has a few extra features such as radar for better detection of people and the app provides a map view with dots showing where people have walked in front of your property. I can't see a benefit to that as you can see in the video clips where people are positioned. It's just a gimmick.I would upload an image from both of the cameras so you can see a side-by-side comparison, but I don't want my face showing on this website, sorry. I'm either going to return it or use it as a camera for the back of our house, but either way the 6 year old Doorbell 2 is going back onto our front door as it's much better camera.
