REVLON Pro Collection Salon Long-Last Curls and Waves Styler - RVIR1159

Ordered for my wife, really likes it esp the curl size and different heat settings.

My daughter has been using these for a while and has had different length hair styles, so she's a good judge.She finds that the curls don't hold for very long, but she puts that down to her thick hair, as even very expensive curlers don't curl her hair for long.This heat up very quickly and feel very sturdy. After a good couple of years of using these - they are still working very well and the build quality has remained. All-too-often products don't feel as sturdy, or start to look a bit well used after a while. But these perform just as they did straight out of the box.She has used hair products which are better than these, but they were much more expensive .For the price, these feel like a solid mid-range product for a budget price. Despite being called the "pro collection", I doubt these would be used by professionals in a salon setting, but for general use at home these are an excellent purchase.

After four tries I can honestly say this isn't working for me. I have a ceramic-barrel curling wand which works perfectly well. I have fine hair which, theoretically, should be easy to curl. The barrel on this Revlon isn't ceramic, it's 'gold and copper mix' - looking at the pricetag I wonder if this is part of the problem? Even when cranked up to 200 (the max) I didn't feel this was getting hot enough at all. It didn't so much as make a dent in my straight hair. I began to avoid the clip and tried using the barrel as I would a wand, but still nothing - it's warm, sure, but for all the effect it had on my hair it may as well not have been plugged in.I think they've gone for style over substance here. Rose gold is having its moment as a fashionable colour, but that doesn't always mean you should make things with it.To check I wasn't going mad, I put this away and got my ceramic wand out. I curled my hair effortlessly at 180 degrees. I'm not going mad. This just didn't work.

Great product

This is really easy to use. It heats up quickly and wraps easily around the hair. It's only necessary to hold on the hair for a few seconds. You will need hair mousse or spray to keep the curls in.

I like the setting options. Works well since I have very thick hair. Provides a smooth curl.

I style my hair for years (so the iron not working has nothing to do with my skills), I had 1 inch iron for probably less than $10 and it was doing a great job. I like Revlon so I decided to try this curler and I regret big time for ordering it. At the highest temperature it creates uneven light wave which goes to straight hair in seconds, also it leaves the hair very hard and dry like not styled at all. 100% do not recommend, worst styler I ever ordered.
