The Barista Book: A Coffee Lover's Companion with Brewing Tips and Over 50 Recipes Paperback – March 20, 2018

My sister and I bought this book in hopes of starting a new business venture in the world of espresso, and we were just taken aback how informational this book was, and how it does actually take you step by step through the process of making espresso at home.

This book is well written for covering the basics. This is especially essential for anyone getting a new espresso machine. It even has a section on the doing the designs in the foam on top.

Great explanations of the basics - whys and techniques. Very good diagrams showed the differences between weak and strong-tasting espresso and smooth and bitter-tasting espresso. I especially liked the recipes and ideas presented for espressos and related coffee drinks.

Learn fancy things.

A good book for beginners just learning about being a barista.

This book is an easy read and step by step directions of the coffee methods, as well a special monthly recipe to enjoy.

Very informative very good book I definitely recommend

I was hoping for a guide that would help me dial in espresso shots on my new machine. In reality this is a recipe book with very little educational information, and lots of beautiful photography. Not at all what I was expecting and pretty underwhelming. I’ll keep it and use it to reference recipes, but I will need to buy a different book to actually cover details on coffee and espresso.
