Details:

FingerPress is a patented orthosis created to straighten a bent finger, also known as PIP Flexion Contracture.

Indications:

FingerPress is used to extend stiffly bent finger joints caused by injury, surgery, immobilization, or genetic conditions. OrthoPress does not provide medical advice. Ask your hand therapist before using FingerPress if you have arthritis, trigger finger or Dupuytren's Contracture.

Instructions:

We recommend working with a hand therapist who can tell you how to fit the device and how much you should wear it. Refer to the illustrated product information sheets.

1. Hold the device in the unaffected hand

2. Pull the slide all the way back until it swings down with the palm pad to enlarge the opening

3. Insert the affected finger until the PIP joint rests between the two upper pads

4. Swing the slide back up and into place under the fingertip

5. Press the slide forward to apply pressure and set the ratchet at maximum extension

6. Monitor fingertip and relieve pressure if circulation or sensation is lost

7. Free the ratchet by squeezing or tapping the end as shown

Sizing Guide:

Measure the width of the affected PIP joint in millimeters. If you do not have a caliper, you can place a ruler on a table and lay your hand on top. Choose the size closest to your measurement. If unsure, choose the larger size.

* 14mm: X-Small

* 16mm: Small

* 18mm: Medium

* 20mm: Large

* 22mm: X-Large

The device comes with three interchangeable swingarms to fit fingers of different lengths.
