Chamonix Biscuit Filled with Orange Marmalade LU 250g

I have liked these for a long time. They were a Christmas treat but then I was not able to get them any more. Rdcently, I thought of them again and looked on Amazon and there they were! So I bought four boxes for Christmas but unfortunately there are 19 days to go and only one box left! Soft cake filling with a layer of sweet orange marmalade (not bitter orange) and an orange glaze. Marvellous

I’m currently crazing all things fruit and jam whilst on medical treatment, orange being my favourite. These are a little expensive but came wrapped nicely and looked great for a treat. I don’t really write reviews often, but the disappointment made me do it! I don’t know if the baker had left the lid off the sugar tub as they made these and it was accidental, or it’s just someone’s love language to create sweetness, but these are pretty much inedible due to sugar! The minute you bite into it, your teeth will hit the biggest sugar hit they’ve ever let into your mouth, which then proceeds through the mouth and lines your cheeks with a wallpaper of sweetness. I can feel the diabetes starting already!! I’m not a health nerd but I know instinctively that this level of sugar is dangerous and should not be consumed. Nice advertising and they look lovely, but they’re pretty much inedible.

I've loved these little cakes for a long time but these were awful - mashed up in the box and very stale. Still I ate them for the memory. They were expensive and should have gone back. I have to say that you should not buy them from this seller.

My great grandmother in France used to have these for me as a snack when I visited for the summer. I had forgotten about them. Saw them and bought a box and was transported to my childhood. They were even better than I remembered. When you bite into them the fine sugary crust opening to a just spongy enough and full of orange flavor cookie! so so happy! The packaging has not changed in 40ish years. It still has the same box and thin aluminum foil to protect the orange delight in side. Merci!

The one thing I love about French biscuits is they are often still delicious despite being long expired. These are stale, but not as bad as say, if they were open. The package was sealed and March wasn't that long ago... While I'd prefer fresh product, sometimes expired product can still be good. Caveat Emptor! I would have preferred the seller be honest about the expired product and charged a reasonable price. If $10 gets you expired biscuits, how much would fresh biscuits cost?

J'adore les Chomunix que je consomme avec parcimonie car très sucrés mais avec 1 thé à l'orange sans sucre, c'est très bien. À goûter pour celles et ceux qui ne connaissent pas.
