Ran my first marathon in these!
I have nothing but good things to say about these shoes. I am 6'4 200 and trained for my marathon in them. Would recommend 250-300 miles on them before my knees started to get a bit stiff but don't know for sure if it was from the shoe being overused or just my joints from running so much. Will be using these for my next marathon!

Shocked and Disappointed
Just to start on a way to take my review seriously, let me start saying that I run on a regular basis the last 17 years and did so far 6 half marathons in less than 2h, in avg 150km of running on roads per month and keeping in a 12 months look back of 2000km. I tried various shoes brands as well from Adidas, Nike, Asics, On, Mizuno and Saucony, being probably the last two brands where I found my best fit and performance. In Mizuno I consistently used the same shoe model moving from one version to the next every 6 months or less due to the amount of km to the sole, the same with Saucony with the Endorphin Speed in the last 3 models from year and a half. After all blah introduction, I'm so disappointed with the new Speed 4 because Saucony changed a lot on these shoes and on a negative way. The room for toes and almost half of the feet is incredibly reduced and pushes them into the sole causing pain and reduced blood flow. The sole material, although they say is the same from previous version, is extremely hard comparing with Speed 3, they're so so hard that hurt my knees and tendons. I'm using them 3 weeks and pain and uncomfortable feeling don't stop, so my conclusions are that the shoes have changed. In addition, the position of the feet against the ground is different and modified the way the two previous models highlighted to push front body orientation instead of vertical movement. I don't pursue in shoes to increase my speed or pace but to be confortable and adapted to my running style with orientation to the front.I totally regret of this purchase as I will need to buy another pair and stop trusting in this brand to find a stable shoe features and will going back to Mizuno.Check carefully of you're the same style of runner like me and if you look for Saucony still, definitely buy anothe new Speed 3 or move to Pro 4.

Huge Upgrade From 2 to 4
I bought a bunch of the 2's when they were on sale and now finally am transitioning to the 4's. I love this shoe. Feels much more robust and springy with just enough cushion.

Foam started deteriorating after 1 use
Cant be cleaned, fall apart like Styrofoam with a gentle wipe with a kitchen roll

Toe Splay (Very Narrow Toebox)
Immediately on trying this on I noticed how tight the toe-box is. This prevents toe-splay: Toes not being able to adequately splay outward as your feet touch down. I'm unsure how those with narrow feet to fit in the narrow-tight toe-box will equally be able to fit to the normal sized heel.
