The Samsung Q80D is an excellent TV - great picture quality, vibrant colours, and solid sound. Perfect for movies, sports, and gaming.However, the delivery from Amazon was a nightmare. The TV was left at the wrong location, and I only got it thanks to a kind neighbour. The box was damaged, adding unnecessary stress to the experience.Great TV, but be cautious with delivery.

I'm no TV expert, so i'm just going to be brielf. It's a hefty piece of kit, taking two people to get it out of the box and attach the stand. But once this was done the set up was as easy as you could want.It has a stunning picture. It took some tweaking in the settings to get it to my tastes, but it was worth the effort. The sound is very tinny from the TVs speakers, but I've found that that's the case with every set i've every owned, so I won't mark it down for this. I just paired it up with a Samsung soundbar for a richer and deeper sound experience.

Out of the box everything was good. Picture and sound fine but with all the adjustments you could wish for if you want to perfect you viewing and listening experience. As normal with TV speakers, they are not as good as a decent soundbar but I ran a Dolby sound check from YouTube and the output was excellent, especially the bass. 4k video is spot on and all streaming channels have a decent picture. The only downside was terrestrial TV but I have an indoor aerial so maybe not the best signal.

Great tv for the money

I purchased this TV and, upon arrival, noticed it was fitted with an EU-only plug and, therefore, unable to power up due to living in the UK.I have since seen a second review saying their model was Eastern European when setting up the TV, but I cannot confirm this due to the plug issue.I know I could buy a plug adapter to resolve this issue but a TV that is sold in the UK should be fit for purpose and not require this.Only purchase if you are willing for it to arrive with an EU plug and happy to face potential set-up challenges

After my 8 year old Sony 4K LED TV died and needed replacing I am amazed at just how much TVs have moved on. QLED with full array backlighting gives a substantially better picture quality- honestly it's almost like looking through a window, really vibrant colour, and great contrast in the blacks. Movies really do pop, and I'll be revisiting some of my favourites that really show this TV off. The native sound quality of the TV is great, also an improvement over my last TV. Navigating through menus is very quick to respond, and opening up streaming services occurs in seconds. Very happy, and this seller was able to give next day delivery so I could be sure I could be in to take delivery.

Although excellent picture and sound quality the terrestrial tv channels were sorted in alphabetical order. So after 5star from channel 2- 20 were adult channels! BBC 1 was channel 24 Chanel 4 was 40 and ITV 1 was 80. There is a facility to delete and move channels, so I deleted the original 20 channels and moved BBC 1 to channel 1, BBC 2 to Channel 2, ITV1 to Channel 3 etc the traditional format. This worked initially then the pictures pixelated and an error message appeared to the effect that the aerial was disconnected.I retuned the set, did not delete any channels and the error appeared occasionally on the unmoved channels. Samsung could not solve this and the set was returned to Amazon!
