Made my husband walk like he was crippled... find a good work shoe elsewhere
I purchased these for my husband, who works 8-10 hours daily on his feet. A good support, comfortable work shoe is an absolute requirement. The description was good and the reviews were mostly good (more good than bad), which played a big factor in my decision. However, the shoes are not exactly as described. After a couple weeks of wear, I've noticed my husband limps from his feet hurting. We've already added 2 sets of insoles which slightly help, but his feet still ache terrible. I feel awful I even suggested giving these a try. I'm not sure if we received a defective pair of shoes, or if the quality is just this bad. I will not be purchasing these or any other work shoe from Sketchers ever again. I gave 2 stars instead of 1 star ONLY because my husband is determined to try and make the shoes work, which I disagree with and see as futile, but he hates wasting money. I do feel these shoes were a waste of money and really deserve no stars. So for anyone who wants to walk like they're crippled, these shoes will do it. Look for really good work shoes elsewhere.

I like it a lot coming from someone who is on his feet all day long.
For the most part, these are exceptional work shoes. I purchased these on Amazon based on the number of reviews these shoes had. These shoes have been field tested by me and I have to say they only lasted for six months. (I purchased them in July for my first pair.) I didn't realize they had ripped until I stepped in the blizzard snow storm of 2016 and felt all that snow go into my shoes. I quickly ordered a 2nd pair and with Prime shipping, they arrived just in time for my next shift. I use these shoes exclusively for work in food service where I go to the freezer to get frozen loads. In production, I work next to a hot oven and work in wet conditions in the dishroom. I find that the non-slip bottoms do a good job in gripping on the terra cotta tiles in the kitchen. They are very comfortable but not as durable. You will find that in this category of footwear you are essentially sacrificing durability for comfort. All things considered I would still buy another pair of these shoes.

Great shoes for Chefs!
I’ve been wearing these shoes for work for a month now. I’m a female chef, on my feet for 8-9hrs with no breaks or seats until I get back to my car after my shift. I was looking for a shoe with a deep instep so I can fit my Dr. Scolls inserts without my feet almost coming out of the shoe when I walk. These shoes are perfect for that. They definitely needed time to break in and loosen up because the first week they were so tight with my inserts that they’d cut off circulation. I almost changed the shoe laces because that was a big part of the problem there..they were really short until they relaxed and broke in and I like to double-knot my shoes when I work. Other than the break in period and the fact that they’re a little heavy, they’re perfect. I would absolutely recommend them. Plus they’ve saved my ankles a few times from carts catching on the back of my foot when I pull them behind me..I know, my own faut..but they’re awesome for it because the worse you feel is your heel come out of the shoe lol. I’d absolutely recommend these 100%.

Don't last, even with low-impact use.
Received these shoes on November 20, 2015. It is now January 14, 2016 and I have been wearing them every day for my IT job, which mostly consists of sitting. The most strenuous activity I have done in these shoes has been a ~ 1 mile daily walk to get a cup of coffee.Pros:-Exterior "leather" upper part of shoe appears to be in good shape.Cons:-To start, the right shoe simply did not fit right. I spent a very long time trying to get it to feel OK, and never succeeded. Decided I would just get used to it and kept on trucking.-About 1 month into wearing them, the innersole padding near the toe started to peel back, so I usually had to start my day putting my hand into the shoe to push that down. Now on January 14th, the right shoes innersole padding has completely detached from the shoe, and the innersole itself is falling off. The left shoe innersole padding is about 1/3 the way to peeling off completely.-Exterior rubber on side of shoe has begun flaking off.Overall, pretty shoddy craftsmanship. Would not recommend, especially since how low-impact my job is and they are already falling apart from both inside and outside.

Shoes are not what they once were.
I have purchased these shoes 4 times in the post 3 years. II bought the same size and color as well all 4 times. work in retail. I put a lot of wear on my shoes. Now in my previous 3 purchases, the shoes were comfortable. They were durable. The fit as expected. They were not too tight, the width was as expected. The only negative was after a few months of wearing them 5 times a week for 8 hours a day, i'd have to get a new insoles. My most recent purchase made rate this shoe 2 stars instead of 5. As soon as I put on the shoes, they felt tight. They felt like a different shoe than my previous purchases. This was a negative for me based on my previous experiece with the shoes. I figured I'd break the shoes in. So after wearing them to work, a pain started to develop on my left ankle, right where the top of the shoe meets my ankle. Over wearing the several more times, the pain got worse and worse. This past week, the pain got even worse. The shoe actually caused my ankle to swell up. So i decided to return the shoes. I figured they were defective.

A very average shoe with below average build quality!
I bought these due to suffering with bad feet. From the Sketchers trainers I've had in the past I thought Sketchers was the way to go for work shoes also. These shoes were a little under-whelming. There are nowhere as near the comfort levels of their training and walking shoes. I know these are slightly more heavy-duty type shoes but I did think that the whole point in Sketchers making work shoes was that you would get comfort that Sketchers are famous for. Not so.Don't get me wrong, they aren't uncomfortable. They're just average. I feel I could of paid less money for the same amount of comfort from another company. Also the quality doesn't seem to be there. I bought these in May 2016 and it is now Nov 2016. The rubber at the front has started to come away (see photos). So I'm not completely excited about this as you could imagine. I do a lot of walking in my job but no kicking of object or any other reason for things to come into contact with my shoes (if I did I would of bought steel toe-cap shoes) so there's no reason they should be falling apart! Also they are supposed to be Anti-slip. They are not very impressive in this department either. I have to walk through greasy restaurant kitchens in my job and although I'm not skating around, I am definitely slipping.By the way the laces in these shoes are ridiculously long (see photos). Once I've tied them I have to tuck them into my shoe which they then find their way under my feet and causing me pain so I have to keep re-adjusting them! Total pain in the arse! (or foot!)All in all I wish I could say amazing things about this shoe but I just can't. A very average shoe with below average build quality!Recommended? - NO!UPDATE --- JANUARY 2017 --------I persevered wearing these for another two months. They have now split at the sides and every time it rains (which is most days in the UK) water gets in and my feet get soaked! Have now replaced them with another brand. Nobody likes soggy socks!

Perfect for work
I have only had them a couple of weeks but so far they have surpassed my expectations hugely. They feel as comfortable as trainers, but certainly look smart enough for (most kinds of) work. At present there are only 3 sizes available - I am a size 10 (which was not offered) but took a chance and ordered the size 11, and the fit is great. Room to breathe and no rubbing. Highly recommended.

Really comfy but do not last!
Bought these for work, I only have an office job and bought these to protect my bad heels. They are very comfy however they really didn't last very well. They started to peel off the top layer, fraying at edges and feeling loose. I wouldn't buy them again.
