2006 BMW X5 E53 3.0 I purchased this Disa Valve twice. Plastic flapper valve strips out in about 8 months. Now have to replace plastic flapper valve with an upgraded aluminum flapper kit. Be prepared to do the same thing.

It seals and functions as far as I can tell, thought it definitely feels cheap and one good drop would break it. Fit fine into a 2003 BMW 530i. Decent option for a budget repair.

Item is physically right, the O ring is correct, and everything but the diaphragm locking issue is correct (you'll notice that the flap will get stuck halfway closed). It seems to either be poor initial factory assembly or a byproduct of not being broken in yet. I ran a datalog and noticed slightly lower load than usual so I chose to return mine. Most people won't see a difference- so it's a good buy if you aren't the most concerned about performance/need a DISA to get your car on the road again.

Doesn’t fit my 04 x5 3.0i. The dimensions of the valve flap are different. I ended up having to grind down the hinge pin end and also had to put a spacer in between one of the disa valve bolt holes and The intake manifold to make it seat properly
