BASI 5020-0030 10/60 mm AS Profile Half Cylinder - Nickel

I got this within 24 hours as paid and required. The lock length was accurately described, just ensure you check the overall length is correct because these locks are described as 10/45 so 55mm total length. This one I purchased was a replacement for my garage door. It came with 3 keys and the fixing screw. It fitted perfectly into the slot and matched the exact dimensions and shape of the lock I was replacing. The keys and lock feel stronger and more robust than the original so I'm pleased. If a DIY idiot like me can fit this then anyone can.I ordered this lock from Amazon after having been to my local B&Q store in Bishop Auckland, the customer assistant stated that they don't sell them, only the type where the moving part is in the middle for normal doors. He suggested I tried Screwfix so I went to the Bishop Auckland Screwfix store. The assistant there was polite but of no use. I had to look on my phone for one because their ancient computers and very old version of IE was taking minutes for a page to load. The young man who helped me at Screwfix didn't have a clue, couldn't navigate their own Screwfix website and had no interest in looking. I then asked another customer assistant at Screwfix and she started out very helpful. She stated if I ordered it there and then it would be delivered in store for tomorrow. I politely asked if that would be 100% guaranteed due to this being a bank holiday weekend. I was then sarcastically told she can't guarantee that the van won't break down, it was rather a weird comment to a perfectly straight forward question.The moral of this long boring rant is, you go out of your way to physically shop locally at two large chain stores to try and support local jobs and the local economy only to be given poor service and bad attitude. This is one fine example of why the high street is decaying faster than an M&S sandwich. As always, Amazon are pretty much perfect with delivery and product descriptions.

average lock, does the job and works well and I have put it to use, l only gave it 3 star because it is not a high security lock and does not have a kite marking on it
