Ikea Microwave Lid 701.860.90,Gray Blue

Useful item to prevent the mess resulting from "mini explosions" when cooking in the microwave. I'm glad it's just a cover without a plastic plate (which I've seen on these types of products before), as a plate is redundant. The colour seems a little darker than the photo, but that's not a big deal. This is a genuine Ikea product which is currently £1 in actual Ikea - I'd say it's worth paying the premium here just to avoid the Ikea experience!

What can you say about a microwave cover. Does the job. Strong and surprisingly decorative. Has a nice little pattern on the top. Not your bog standard plain everyday plastic. And I really need to get out more.

Good quality plastic.The ventilation holes on the top of the cover are a nice touch as it prevents moisture build up which can make food soggy.Would have been nice to have a handle/grip on the top for easy lifting and placing, but it's still manageable without.When using for the first couple of times, there is some sort of odour that comes off it. Make sure to thoroughly wash before using for the first time.

I bought this item for my father. On receipt he commented that the material was very thin and the lid was difficult to hold as there was no handle to lift it on or off the plate. Unfortunately, the item melted on first use (see photo) so we cannot recommend it and have had to give it a very poor review. Amazon did provide a full refund though.

High enough that no food ever touches it, so far beter than old one.Looks nice.Doesn't get too hot, so easy to remove.Easy to clean.

You can see the size and shape, and it does what it's supposed to. Fits my big plates perfectly and isn't too high for my microwave. Easier to clan than my old one. Not really much more to say about it.

This is cool, no more exploding eggs in the microwave! Great product, easy to use, easy to clean, and keeps the microwave clean! Great! Would highly recommend and on the plus side- it has small ventilation holes on top which means you can use it as a strainer for example to wash lettuce, drain rice etc...doubly Great!

Die positiven Rezensionen haben mich dazu bewegt diesen Mikrowellendeckel zu kaufen.Es gibt zwar auch günstigere, aber da liest man immer wieder, dass sie bei hohen Wattzahlen anfangen zu schmelzen.Hier habe ich bisher gar keine Probleme festgestellt und den Deckel schon bei verschiedenen Wattzahlen verwendet, auch über mehrere Minuten.Jetzt bleibt die Mikrowelle immer sauber.Aber Achtung: Teller erhitzen sich mehr und die Feuchtigkeit setzt sich auf dem Tellerrand ab. Also nicht die Finger verbrennen oder den Teller aus der Hand flutschen lassen.

Real good product... Writing this review after a month and half usage... Has not changed its shape... Easy to clean and the holes on upper part actually helps the steam escape but not the splatter of curry or dal...

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass sich die Suche nach einem handelsüblichen Mikrowellendeckel so schwierig gestalten könnte, oder ich es bei einem solchen Produkt für sinnvoll erachten könnte, eine Rezension zu hinterlassen.Allerdings scheint den meisten Mikrowellendeckeln die Kernkompetenz abzugehen: Die Hitzebeständigkeit. Folge, sie schmelzen.Dieser hier hingegen ist tatsächlich Mirkowellengeeignet und es schadet ihm auch nicht, mit heißem Essen/ Geschirr in Kontakt zu kommen. Er wahrt also auch bei Hitze seine Form.Ferner passt er über die meisten Teller oder Schalen und lässt sich ganz einfach abspülen.Lieferung und Verpackung wie immer super.

The only reason I am giving this a 4 star is because I wish it had a handle or finger slots that made it easier to take it in and out of the microwave. There is just a smooth surface so it isn't the 3asiest to try and grab when it is warm. Otherwise the quality and ability to clean is very easy.

This is really a good product from IKEA, made of good quality plastic and with a exquisite design. Wishthe company may produce the same product in different shades of color.
