KENWOOD KSC-PSW8 Compact Active Subwoofer, Black

Easy to fit. Makes a world of difference to the sound of my Kenwood stereo. When connected to the sub out there is quite a few settings to do on the head unit but worth setting up fully. Would recommend.

The only good thing about this was getting the refund. The sub couldn't get turned up because it would vibrate the metal gauze and make a tin rattle

Purchased for a Ford galaxy under rear middle seat no other place to put a sub via sub phono to kenwood head unit, if wanting to use boot and 2 rear seats on car, big improvement in sound not using anywhere near full volume. Only 10amps draw so wired to back of cigarette lighter as can take 15 amps saves wire via bulkhead and all the required work.

I've had a few underseat subs including the baby of this the Kenwood KSC-SW11. This is bar far the best sub I have had. Very powerful and genuine impact from this compact sub. It is quite a bit bigger than the SW11 but the improvement in performance is worth it. I have the sub below half and it is still punching with plenty of power in reserve. My mirror vibrates if I turn it up on some songs!! The sub adds real substance to music for a meaty thick sound which is what I was looking for. But it's not a muddy sound the sub has real pace with plenty of power at a true 150 watts RMS. Look at other undersear subs and many are below 100 watts RMS. I think this sub would suit fans of rock, pop and electronic. Obviously your results depend on the source. Mine is used in a BMW 5 series F10 which has a good head unit but poor speakers. The Kenwood sub makes it sound like a premium system and I'm loving it. As a side note if you can't stretch to £199 look at JVC's CW-DRA8 which sells for below £140 in some stores and is basically the same unit.

I had it installed by a third party installation company, into the boot of my 2 series convertible, (spliced to rear speaker wires not rca) and I usually forget it is there.... literally, when packing the boot or listening for bass. It seems to make no discernible difference what- so-ever, to the point I'm not even sure its working properly.

My car mechanic was skeptical about it but after reading reviews decided to try it in my MINI. It’s amazing! Worth the money! 👌🏻

Bought this to round out the stereo system in my sons car. Shipping was very fast. Installation was easy. The only part that wasn’t included was a red/white RCA to link the head unit to the amp. No big deal. The sub itself? Very impressive. Clear sounding. Really fills out the bottom end. I Used to work at a car dealership and always checked out the stereos in the new models. This sub sounds better than the vast majority of upgraded Bose sound systems.

Dafür das der kleine aktiv sub nur zur klang unterstützung beitragen soll kann er schon auch ordentlich bass bringen. Klar es bleibt einem nicht die luft weg aber es reicht mehr wie genug was er macht. Bin sehr zufrieden über die qualität und den bausatz (verkabelung) der dabei war. Das einzige was fehlt ist ein rca (chinchkabel) aber das kriegt man für 12 euro im elektrogeschäft.

Lo instale en una Forester XT bajo el asiento del copiloto y funciona fenomenal, el hecho que tenga el control externo es una gran ventaja ya que la musica de diferentes fuentes , varia mucho en su ecualizacion y el control permite balancearlo facilmente si es necesarios, el sonido es limpio sin ser exagerado, pero super recomendable.

I got this for my single cab 2001 ford ranger, hoped it would fit under seats but it was a little too big for that, fit fine along back of cab and packs a pretty good punch for the size. The remote control that came with it is also a bonus, I really like the ability to easily adjust the sub for each song/type of music. Installation was easy enough, they do give you everything you need but I did buy rca cables to run from my head unit to the sub. The ones they give you are supposed to be spliced into the speakers, didt want to do that and had a dedicated set of subwoofer rca outputs in my aftermarket head unit. Overall very happy with it.
