Great item!
I bought this actually for my airguns. Very easy to fill and portable to refill my stuff on the fly. I imagine for Scuba it would work just as well since it's the same function. Comes with everything I needed!

somewhat hard to fill but does the job!
used on a recent cruise excursion. filling was the hardest part but after that it lasts a long time.

A nice little kit.
This is a great kit for someone with basic scuba diving knowledge. If course when you go down with this make sure you are allowing the air to escape your lungs by blowing out slowly the entire accent. This unit is highly portable and it even comes with the adapter you need to fill up the tank via a main tank. This kits great for an extra emergency air or snorkeling when you just want a little time at the bottom.

Great for occasional use and short durations.
I'm scuba certified and have used professional scuba gear but I don't actually own any gear of my own. I live near the really clear waters on the Gulf of Mexico and wanted something that I could occasionally go out and increase the duration and depth of my snorkeling sessions while I'm out exploring the manmade reefs in the area.I didn't have very high expectations for this little portable Houvan tank but I've actually been pretty surprised at how capable it is. Though I'm certainly no professional, in my opinion the construction quality is fantastic. The system comes disassembled so you do have to put it together yourself but the wrench to attach everything is included (though I found an extra crescent wrench came in handy to keep the tank from spinning on me). The parts went together easily and I was able to tighten everything down securely. As for filling the tank, I could have taken it to a local dive shop to fill but I opted to purchase a hand pump since the electric ones are ridiculously expensive. It was a TON of hard work using the hand pump but I was finally able to get it to the recommended 3K psi of pressure. The tank has a safety valve built in so if you increase the pressure more than 3K PSI, it will automatically dump some air out (I found that out the hard way). The gauge on the tank itself didn't quite match the gauge on the pump so I'm not sure which one was more accurate but they were close. One thing to note is the manual hand pump was a lot of work and got really difficult towards the end but I'm in good shape so it wasn't too bad. It did get VERY hot though as a result of the high pressure and friction so I had to take a lot of breaks to let it cool down. Getting it too hot risks damaging seals so you need to to make sure it doesn't get too hot.Once the tank was full, I let it sit for several days before using it to make sure it held pressure okay. It sat for a full week and hadn't dropped in pressure at all. The tank is nice and portable and easy to carry and the little carrying bag slings over your shoulder nicely. The regulator and mouth piece are comfortable and fit well and I was able to adjust the air flow to the perfect setting for my liking. At full pressure I was able to get about 10-12 good full breaths out of the tank. I was close to the surface so I wasn't too worried about running out of air but the built in gauge did a good job of telling me how much I had left so I was aware of when it was getting low. I was pretty happy with the 15 minutes or so of constant use I got out of it. I only plan to use it as a supplement for snorkeling so that's just about perfect. I also like that you get the tools you need to assemble and maintain the tank and you even get an adapter that lets you fill it using a larger capacity scuba tank.Overall I'm very happy with this little tank. It's great for short occasional trips and has been performing well. At $184 (at the time of this review) I feel like it's a good value and I would recommend it.

Works Great For What It Is!
The H400 Mini Scuba Tank is a nice little "emergency" tank for a short dive or snorkeling. My brother's boat recently got its anchor stuck on a reef at 20' and this emergency tank is the perfect device to dive down and release the anchor from where it's bound. This kit doesn't come with a way to add the needed compressed 3,000 psi air into the tank. I opted for the manual pump due to its price compared to the electric one. It took a lot of work to fill this 1L pressure vessel, but it works.I'm not an expert in pressure vessel design, but the unit appears to be of high quality. Also, SCUBA is a dangerous hobby. Please make yourself aware of the dangers, limitations, and qualifications that you need before purchasing and operating this unit.I've enjoyed this little unit and will continue to use it for shallow, short dives and snorkeling.
