These was a gift and my husband loved them. Perfect for beginners and many tools for carving.

This is a good quality set of small carving knives. I have bought several larger sized sets from this company and they make good quality carving knives. They are a little rough but not bad for the price, and you can sharpen and shape them as you need. They function very well. I would purchase again.

Great for woodworking and for customizing. I used it to widdle down plastic on custom figures. They worked great!

The new chisel carving sets will come in handy for small on the go projects. We were recently talking about the different knife companies and comparing the blades and finishes. It's already been a learning experience for me, and from our conversations, it sounds like I learned a lot from the Schaaf videos to be able to add a bit of my own knowledge to share. V-tool will need attention. If the tip has a bird beak sticking out, this will not carve properly. All tools that are not top of the line finish will need to be sharpened, so connect with some pros. Sharpen, then hone until there are no tool grinding marks or flat areas on the bevel edge. It was a nice way to compare with my antique collection to the perfect metalurgy of today's wood carving tools.

Tool set is ok, but just ok; no teasy to keep sharp and do not hold and edge. After a little use the edges get dull and sometimes bend on bot soft and hard woods. I am trying to love these tool, but manufacturer should improve the angles and perhaps the metal they use. It is good "begginers" set. I use them in the sculpture shop and are helpful in some tasks.

Great pencils and the erasers work

These are very sharp and high quality wood carving tools that work very well. I’ve been using them in wood inletting projects and they always seem to come in when I need a specialized scraper. They’re cheap for what they are but still work extremely well. If you’re used to palming the end of the handle for leverage they are a bit long, but I did. It have an issue with that.
