I decided to try the Coop Home Goods Cooling Pillowcase because I’m one of those people who’s constantly flipping their pillow to find the “cool side.” Let me tell you—this pillowcase has completely changed the game. First off, it actually does what it claims. The fabric feels cool to the touch, almost like it’s been sitting in a chilled room, even if the rest of the bed isn’t particularly cold. I was skeptical at first, but it genuinely helps keep me comfortable through the night, especially during warmer months. What surprised me most was how soft it is. A lot of “cooling” products I’ve tried in the past tend to feel a bit stiff or slick, but this one feels smooth and lightweight without sacrificing comfort. It’s breathable, too—I don’t wake up sweaty, which is a huge win. One thing I really appreciate is how well it fits my pillow (I use the Eden Pillow from the same brand). It doesn’t slide around or bunch up, which is a pet peeve of mine with some pillowcases. The zipper closure is subtle and keeps everything in place, which makes the whole thing feel neat and tidy. If I had to nitpick, it’s a little pricier than a standard pillowcase, but honestly, the quality and cooling effect make it worth it for me. I’ve tried a few budget options before, and none of them came close to this one in terms of comfort or durability. Overall, this pillowcase feels like a small luxury that actually delivers. If you’re someone who sleeps hot or just wants a little extra comfort at night, it’s definitely worth checking out.

This WORKS. This is cool and it feels nice and wow, I am so impressed. I wish they made silk pillow cases like this but that’s oki. If you get hot at night, this is a MUST.

Excellent pillow cover. My Coop pillow is a little warm and this takes care of that. It cools on the surface and it's very comfortable. Washes well. I use color bleach and a low dryer setting. Bonus: It discourages the cat who otherwise climbs onto the pillow in the middle of the night and sleeps on my head.

Price'y. As a belly sleeper: the cool side isn't really cool, and is not very comfortable on the face. However, I just put my face on the other side and really like the feel of it when I put my hands under the pillow. Otherwise, it's just a well made pillowcase.

These are the best. We had others ones with some "special" hydrocool" Japanese Q-Max fibers that didn't last 2 minutes in bed. These are much better. Had for about 18 months and the cooling fibers are starting to wear out, so just bought our second set. Don't know if 18 months is good or bad, but these don't last much longer, but during this 18 months they are the best.

Bought this before and it was ice cold! Exactly how I liked it. It got destroyed from normal wear and tear (had it forever)... so reordered. This one isn't near as cold as the original.

Cannot believe this Amazon listing alleging that the pillow case will keep your face cool. The problem is the Home Goods pillow does not conduct heat so the pillow causes your face to heat up and the pillowcase does nothing to stop that. Purchased the Home Goods pillow based upon the reviews here and on Consumer Reports. Within 60 seconds of my face being on the pillow it got uncomfortably warm. This is just the opposite of what the pillow and his pillow case advertise. To be objective, used several non-contact thermometers and measured the surface of the pillow after the left side of my face have been on the area for 60 seconds. There was about a 10°F rise with this pillow and pillow case compared to the same maneuver on my 25 year old Tempur-pedic pillow. I have two other people to do the same thing, namely put their face on this pillow. They both reported that it felt too warm after one minute. This pillowcase is attractive but don’t be misled that it’s going to keep your face cool and thereby help you sleep. Strange that anyone would think that a thin fabric pillowcase could keep your face cool because it is the pillow contained therein that makes the difference. Returning the pillow and pillowcase to Amazon.

This pillowcase is a magical fix for the very comfortable Coop Eden pillow’s one flaw: Heat buildup. The Eden advertises as being cool due to the infusion of cooling gel, but in reality that seems like a bit of a gimmick, or at least it’s not enough to offset the warming effect of memory foam. But replacing Eden’s stock pillowcase with this one provides a substantial improvement, making even the warmest of nights bearable. And while it won’t keep the spot you’re lying on cool forever, you need only move slightly to find another cool spot. I seem to only need to do this a few times before I just fall asleep. It would be ideal if the Eden came bundled with this pillowcase, but at least I have the stock one as a backup for when the cooling pillowcase is in the wash.

Coop has at this point got to be my absolute least recommended company. The non cool side of this case feels pretty awful. Rougher than most pillowcases, and the material is thicker in a bad way. For a "cooling" pillowcase, this side gets incredibly hot because it's so much thicker, and holds on to the heat much worse than a regular pillowcase as well. The other side is even sadder. The "cooling" effect, much like their pillows, only is a gimmick that you feel upon first touch. If you lay there for even a minute, you suddenly realize how uncomfortably hot it becomes. Also, even worse than their pillows, this case gets messed up super easily. Even washing and using it very carefully, and following all of their instructions, you get this weird, webbing effect across the pillow. This traps and lint and such, and no matter what you do it stays there unless you tear it off, which feels like you're damaging the pillow too. I was really hoping for something better here, after the incredible disappointment with their "Cool+" pillow series, and unfortunately, this is a gimmick in the same way. Please, save your money. Do not get this product.
