Q: Is the patch holder metal or plastic? My plastic one broke the first time I used it and that's the only thing I really want.

The patch holder is metal. But if the patch holder is broken during using after you purchase. You can contact us through Amazon message.We will send you the replacement patch holder.

Q: Will this work on an SKS?

Yes I use a .22 diameter rod all the time, but you’ll need a .30 cal brush that does not come with the kit. In fact I only use the diameter smaller rods because of availability but again you need the correct brush size for .30 for a 7.62x39 bore.

Overall not very happy

I was really disappointed with the brass cleaning rods as part of this cleaning kit. They broke during using them for the first time. However all the brushes etc were fine.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!

This is the worst product I've ever had the misfortune to buy! One the first time of using it,3 of the cleaning rods snapped at the joints so now the whole kit is useless. DO NOT waste your money on this cleaning kit!!! Very very very poor quality!!!!!
