Most Informative Book for Exercising Seniors
As a senior in my 70s and also a cancer survivor still under therapy, I learned of the benefits from one of my doctors of using resistance bands. As a book-reader, I was looking for maybe one good book to help me.Not knowing which book was best for my age (73), I purchased two books: Resistance For Seniors (O’Connor) and Short & Simple Resistance Band Workouts For Seniors (Garner). Both had accompanying QR video links. Here is my assessment:1. Garner was geared more to motivating seniors to exercise — period.2. O’Connor included different levels of exercises (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) and 4-week Workouts for each levels. Garner had no levels but did provide workouts (including Warm-ups and Cool-Downs).3. O’Connor included research data, including why resistance bands provide more thorough resistance exercising; Garner admonishes more on “just do something”.4. Garner encourages good diet in some general terms; O’Connor gave clear recommended diets, such as Mediterranean Diet.5. O’Connor provided a detailed Table of Contents and an exercise index at the end; Garner had no index at all but had a brief high-level Table of Contents.6. Both used Large Print, with Garner using Super-Large Print. Being about the same number of pages, I’m guessing Garner will be lighter in total amount of content. In summary, I found O’Connor better meeting my needs. If you need a lot of motivation, maybe Garner will work for you and inspire you to do some regular exercising. In any event, if you as a senior just DO SOMETHING to keep moving in a healthy way, you will likely improve above the average for us as seniors.NOTE: I’m including this review for these two books I reviewed.

Inspiring Fitness Journey
As I recently celebrated my 70th birthday, I reflected on the importance of keeping active as I progressed through my golden years. The QR code link led me to engage in video content, which showed a remarkable story about a 101-year-old man who defied expectations by keeping up an active exercise regimen that helped him maintain health and vitality throughout his golden years despite age barriers - an inspiring testament that age should never prevent us from staying fit and active! As I advance my fitness journey, I find great comfort and inspiration in hearing stories of remarkable individuals like George Jedenoff (101 years old). Their resilience, determination, and unwavering spirit remind me that age should never prevent us from living life to its fullest. So, as I begin this next chapter of my life, I pledge my dedication and perseverance to prioritizing health and well-being; anything is possible!

Plan to use this and a couple of other books to put together a work plan.
I have read most of the book and will finish in a day or so. I have both barbells and resistance bands and know the moves for both types of reistance workouts but I have a problem putting the exersices into a work out that works for me. I have worked out at numberous gyms over the years (I'm 78 years old) and plan to use this and a couple of other books to put togeter workouts to keep me strong and healthy enough to help my 85 year old husband of 61 years stay at home as long as I can. I need to be strong and healthy to do that, wish me luck. Thank you.

Bands
When I ordered this book it didn’t show the bands I needed with the book. And the book should recommend which bands are best. But other than that I love the book and at 60 I want my motivation to do it all.
