The Atomstack A5 Pro Laser Printer/engraver is a 5W l.e.d. laser printer/engraver that is ideal for someone taking up the hobby. It's very easy to put together, the instructions are clear and tools are provided for this purpose.it took me around 40 minutes to assemble.The bundle I bought included an R3 Roller assembly, which is used both for engraving on things like glasses, cups and other cylindrical objects and for extending the printers x or y axis.There was a slight hiccup in the delivery of the roller in my case. The delivery had been split into two packages and I received the actual printer very quickly but did not receive the R3 roller. However, a quick message to Atomstack resolved the situation and it transpired that the roller had gone astray in the post. They were very good and immediately arranged to ship me a new one, keeping me well informed during this process. I was sent a tracking number and followed my Rollers process as it winged it's way towards me.Full marks for an exceptional customer support, & thank you Atomstack!(The exceptional customer service and support, will definitely keep me as an Atomstack customer, if and when I choose to upgrade or buy a new machine in the future).In use the printer is very quiet, but its important to have a flat surface to set the machine on, and very advisable to use it in a well ventilated area, (providing adequate protection under the machine in order to protect your desk or work surface).. This is the case with any laser printer as they can produce bad smells and some smoke during the engraving process.There is a nice easy learning curve with this hobby, and impressive results can be produced very quickly.If I can give one piece of advice, it's to keep a "laser log" and take notes often, writing down the settings that you use, and which settings work best for you.I.e. the lasers power setting, the speed of the head, the line spacing, the material used etc.I stuck with the Atomstack studio software as I found it easy to understand and use, but you can also use the A5 Pro with LaserGRBL or Lightburn software, if you choose to.So far, I have used the machine with plywood, basswood, veneer, two tone plastic sheets, and scratch paper.I'm very happy with the results, and look forward to many future projects using this machine.It's a good purchase.

Rotary roller missing on my package.the package that I ordered goes with a rotary bar and it's not there .I need it please

It works if all you need is to etch things.It is a good little machine but won’t do what I want it to.Laser is posted out as two separate packages.The laser was sent quite fast from Cannock in the UK.Roller arrived a week later from china.I bought this to cut car gaskets in the last week that I’ve had it, I’ve used it to make signs pictures even cut my name into a Lego block but will it do my gaskets? No.Been trying to cut some 9 mm close cell foam with adhesive on the back. Yes, it cuts the foam will it cut the backing paper? No chance.Will only cut if I have it on full power and running so slow it’s actually burns the paper and melts the foam so I think I’m going to be sending it back.No good as it won’t do what I need it too, will have to buy a bigger one maybe the next one up or even the one up from that it must be capable of cutting all kinds of gasket paper.The description said it could do 12 mm wood struggles to cut paper. May burn its way through wood eventually.Have wasted a whole roll of foam experimenting trying to get it to cut the waxy paper.I need something that will cut fast and in one go to stop burning the foam.Returning as not really for me.
