Strange shape, questionable adhesive
I wanted to use this on an old wooden exterior door, which has a large air gap that needs to be sealed. The good part is that the E shape works out for this application because the flap can be folded outward so that it hugs the door frame. Also, the rubber is tall enough to seal the big gap. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the adhesive to stick to the door frame at all. I also tried to make it work by nailing the rubber in with half-inch brads but, of course, the rubber was compressed at each nail location, which compromised the seal. I may try to use this on my leaky garage door, but I'll have to figure out what glue to use in place of the adhesive. The E shape is certainly unusual, which makes it hard to dream up other applications where I can use it. As for the adhesive, my guess is that there are surfaces that it will work well on, but I just didn't have any luck on painted wood.

Keeps the wind out.
I used this to seal the top of my garage door. The suppleness of allows it a good seal . I didn't use the adheisve that comes with it, intead uses a heavy-duty stapler to attach it to the wood frame. Mine is a 1 car garage door, this wouldn't be enough for a double wide.

Works well with window AC unit
I use this insulating strip for my window air conditioner. The strip is easy to apply and effectively fills the gaps around the unit, preventing unwanted air leaks that can drive up energy costs.PRO: its durability. I like how well it holds up against moisture. I live in a humid area, and while I initially worried about the strip deteriorating due to condensation, it has remained intact and functional.Recommended for anyone looking to improve insulation around their air conditioner and enhance their home comfort. The 13-foot length provides plenty of material for various applications.

Worked for a little different use
It is being used pretty much as weather stripping, but the thing is, I am converting a 5-window minibus and like almost every bus I've ever seen, there is an emergency door in the back. Well...in my bos apparently the emergency door got somewhat bent by a previous owner. I can't EVEN imagine what they were doing! All I know is that I have some larger gaps in the door than is normal, even for an older bus! I did try to pound it back in place with a large rubber mallet, but while I seemed to have make the door somewhat better, I still could see gaps and that's not good at all. This gasket was used with both selant on the back and then aluminum tape to hold it in place. I dis paint over the aluminum tape so it doesn't show up on the outside of the bus and this gasket sealed most of the larger gaps around that door.. It will help keep hot or cold air out so that my heater/air conditioner works well and that's what I needed it to do!
