This is a replacement for a Baskerville Basket Muzzle that lasted 20+ months of hard use on a German Shepherd that liked to use his nose as a plow. We used this muzzle as an anti-scavenging device when we take him outside so he doesn't eat gross or dangerous stuff. He is VERY rough on these things and I'm impressed that they last so long under those conditions, even in very gold weather. Great for the price, very adjustable for comfort and a great design. Make sure you take your time to adjust it so it's comfortable for your dog to wear. The felt strip for the top of the nose is nice as well.

I purchased this muzzle for my boyfriends small dog, and it fits perfectly. Very easy to use, the design allows the dog to breath and drink water. It is a very durable muzzle and does exactly what it is designed to do. It is very gentle on the dogs fact and muzzle

My dog. A boxer ate this off her own face. It's a super soft plastic. We got it for her to prevent her from eating things when she went outside. First time she wore it outside, she ran into the woods, and came back moments later with it half ate hanging off her face. I guess it would work for someone who's only using it while highly controlling the dog. My boxer thought it was delicious though.

My dog has issues sneaking cat turds. The only way I can prevent him from eating the secret morsels of kitty poop is to basically muzzle him. This was a solution I wish I would have figured out years ago I don't know why I never thought of it. And my vet certainly wouldn't have suggested it, as my dog alone has backed up bills quite literally keeping their doors open. Didn't have to use this long to get a review up. The good. It fits without a strap directly on their forehead. Some muzzles have multiple straps this one is easy with really only one you need to worry about. It also has a lock on it which is awesome. Cool color too. The bad. It may be moldable or something to a degree but it isn't soft or rubbery. It's like straight plastic. The sizing seems okay but it is larger than I expected also. After one walk it is incredibly banged up from my dog dragging it or sniffing on the ground and brush. So durability is questionable even early on. The pad that runs on the inside top of the muzzle is not attached to the muzzle it moves around and floats so I had to epoxy it. And the buckle lock is annoying but necessary for some people I may remove the lock part. The fitment is odd. It's not sized to length for the cage it's sized for the removable gate inside. So if you want it to be properly fitted you should keep the gate. Overall I think it's pretty decent but time is going to tell. I've burned up a lot of dog gear and this may last a bit but we will have to see. Say no to cat turds, get a muzzle.

I have a Belgian Malinois with a very long narrow snout and this muzzle adjusted to fit her perfectly and very comfortably. It is the first muzzle she did not paw at or roll around trying to remove. I like that she can breathe freely with her mouth open and drink water while wearing this muzzle but cannot bite. We primarily use it for vet visits and it relieves a lot of stress on us and the vet! It is very well made, easy to put on and take off and, as far as we have experienced, impossible for the dog to remove. It is also malleable after a brief dip in hot water for a better fit if needed.

I bought this muzzle (size 8) based on the sizing chart, and it was way too small and narrow for my pit bull. I followed the sizing chart for this style and checked various web sites for consistency. Anyway, my pittie boy is 60 pounds with a fat head, and the back strap was much too short and snout way too narrow. I ended up keeping the muzzle for my 40 pound cattle dog. It fit his narrower nose and face well. The quality is good and it's easy to take on and off. I went with the Ultra model for my pittie, size 5, and that one fits him well. Size way up on this one.

Ok. I have bought a lot of muzzles and returned many due to fit. I have a giant Alaskan Malamute over 110 lbs and everytime I tried to measure it was not right. This muzzle is perfect. I ordered a size 10. I had room to adjust. It was not too high on the snout and has a soft padding to rest on his snout. After I slipped it on he did not seem bothered. Trying to remove was a little confusing. There is a very small lock button that needs to be in the unlock position but once I realized that I was good to go. I used it at his vet visit and they complimented me for it. It provides safety while allowing him to breathe and pant. For the price you can’t ask for more!!

I surrender. I am embarrassed to admit I have ordered and returned four of these Baskerville Classic Basket Muzzles. I first ordered a size 6 and a size 10. My vet had shown me a muzzle I thought was a Baskerville that had a size 6 marked on the side when he was suggesting a muzzle to deal with my Goldendoodle picking up rocks and miscellaneous garbage from the yard and chewing and/or eating it. I ordered the size 6 and the size 10 based on my dog's snout length like the website instructs. The #6 was too small, the #10 was way too large. Neither had been worn so I returned them unopened/unused and ordered a size 8. The one I received was marked as a return, not bad in itself, but it was clearly crushed in on the sides and unusable. So back it went for an exchange. The replacement size 8 arrived, also a returned item, but it was not damaged. I had high hopes but it was too short in the snout with the guard in place and my dog would have removed it in under 5 seconds if I had tried it on him. So back it went. I have given up on this brand and am anxiously awaiting delivery of a different brand that may work?

Acheté pour ma chienne Podenca. Je craignais qu'elle soit beaucoup trop large pour sa truffe très longue et très fine. Mais en fait, c est effectivement très large, mais la chienne apprécie beaucoup. C est le modèle qui lui convient le mieux de toutes les muselière qu'elle a eu. Les deux branches en plastique qui passent sur les joues sont super efficaces . La museliere est bien stable. C est la première qu'elle n'arrive pas a s'enlever. Le fait de ne pas avoir de lanière qui passe entre les deux yeux ne pause finalement pas de problème. La couleur discrète et accordée au poil est moins anxiogène pour les passants.

I got this recently for my reactive dog’s vet visit. It did come off a few times but mainly my fault for not making it together, my dog is also very fluffy. Once it was on tight enough it stayed on and everyone was safe during the appointment! It did not seem to bother my dog, and it’s very sleek looking compared to another one I ordered. It also feels very high quality and there is the ability to mold it to your dogs face by soaking it in hot water. I would recommend it if you have a Mini American Eskimo!

Was a bit wary having read other reviews but this fitted my cocker spaniel really well, was easily adjustable and easy for me to quickly clip on her. I showed it to her and even put in her bed for a couple of days before I got her to wear it and after a couple of times where she shook her head she soon realised it was ok. I’d recommend this.
