French for Children with Three Audio CDs, Third Edition: Ages 3-10 (NTC FOREIGN LANGUAGE)

Superb. I’ve tried hard to interest my five year old in French. This is a very fun, pleasant set of lessons with excellent workbooks and materials. She asks to do the cds and loves it!

My daughter aged 10 loves the cd and the little book that comes with it, the songs are catchy even for myself. If I have one flaw it would be that the CDs weren't long enough but that's it.

The spoken content is good and is well pitched for children.......my grandchildren are 4,5,6 and 9. However,the sound quality when there is singing is poor.....it is distorted . I find this a very unpleasant and sharp sound and the words are not even very clear. Overall,this has spoilt my enjoyment and puts me off using the dvds. I have given it 3 stars for the spoken content....the rating would have been higher without the problems with the music. Considering this drawback,I think it was overpriced. I would have returned it,except of course it had to be used to discover what it was like. Could it be returned still on the basis of an unsatisfactory quality?I am disappointed with it.

My daughter is so thrilled with this. She is almost too old (she's in 6th grade), but she's really enjoying it anyway. She has never had any French experience but wanted to try. I bought it as part of a home school curriculum this year. I was amazed how much she picked up so quickly. On the first day she was able to say several sentences and respond to certain questions. She has really enjoyed it and learned a lot so far. It is helpful if a parent or other second person can be available at least some of the time. She has mostly done it alone, but some of the games take two people to play. They have been good for reinforcing vocabulary. They are very simple and effective. It has been well worth the price. I would gladly pay for additional volumes if any are available.

Vem uma pasta com os CDs, o livro texto e o livro de exercícios. Não começamos o livro ainda mas aparentemente ele é bom, segue uma gradação de dificuldade à medida que vamos evoluindo os capítulos. Achei as imagens um pouco feias bem padrão de livro de idiomas da década passada rs Não se tem muitas opções de material de francês no mercado em geral, ainda menos para crianças. Acredito que ajuda a dar um norte.

I love this book with the 3 CD's, great way to learn French, lots of audio including songs, lots of fun games and activities. This is the best French book I have gotten so far. The workbook that goes with it, is not much, I probably wont use it, it has around 16 pages, but the book that goes with it has around 73 pages, the book is nice, all the pages are in color and has a lot of fun learning inside. I am an adult learning French and I wanted to do it in a fun easy way. I also purchased the book I can read & Speak in Frency by Maurice Hazan this book is really good too. Each word in the book is a picture and you use the pictures to speak your sentences. Im glad I purchased both of these items! These books would also be great for young children who want to learn French.
