The tool I did not know I needed.
This little draw plane impressed right out of the box. It’s milled from Aluminum and has replaceable blades. These are the same blades as my big power planer drum has. It comes with one extra blade and a wrench with the proper torx to service said blades. It has some depth settings available by turning the blade as it is four sided.Sometimes after planning a board I want to knock that sharp edge off but don’t want a radius there. So I have been using either a sanding block and hitting it a lick, hard to control, or using a file which is easier to control but they load up and need brushed so often that I wonder if it’s worth it.Enter this little draw plane as an option and I am in love. Works great and is consistent. I am able to run the edge of a full eight foot piece of oak and have one ribbon still together of the finest of slices. So far I have run a bunch of oak and poplar both and have the same results. It’s just enough to remove that sharp edge but is almost impossible to tell with the eye. It also makes a more pronounced chamfer with the bladed turned. It’s a handsome forty five bevel and the bevel can be turned into a radius by hand with multiple passes. This little draw plane has sparked an interest in what other wonders have I been missing by pretty much ignoring hand planes as an option. I have always been of the if it don’t plug in it’s not for me school of thought but maybe this little plane has actually changed my life. Who knows.Twenty two bucks buys a lot of joy when using this planer and for the task I have been using it for its results are priceless to me. I highly recommend this little draw plane for every woodworker. Great tool!

Works well
Most chamfer planes I've seen have a v-groove in the bottom face to balance the plane on each side of the corner. This tool has a flat bottom making it a bit more like a mini-plane. It does a nice job of knocking the corners off a workpiece. The non-adjustable depth of cut produces a very fine chamfer - just enough ease the edge and make it comfortable in the hand but small enough to almost not be able to see it. Which is really want you want if you're using this type of tool. If you do want the chamfer more noticeable just take a few more strokes. The replaceable cutter has four edges which can be rotated as each edge dulls. Being carbide and used on wood surfaces a single cutter will likely last many years.

It does work pretty well.
I've owned a cabinet shop since 2011, so I feel like I can give an expert opinion on anything woodworking related. This is a neat little tool. Perfect for someone that didn't do much woodworking or wanted to stick with hand tools. Its not super useful to me. If I need to edge something I'm going to use one of our shapers or router tables. Can do it much faster. But I will keep this handy just in case I do find a good use for it.It does work right out of the box. It cuts well. Using a carbide insert makes it super sharp. My only problem is the size of the insert. I have lots of 15mm, 12mm, and 10mm inserts. But this thing uses 14mm ones. They are available though. And since they give you an extra you have 8 total sides you can use before needing to buy more. That is probably enough for 20 years lol.It feels pretty good in the hand. Like a quality item.It doesn't feel like a cheap Chinese rip off tool. Even though that is probably what it is.I'm pretty happy with it. Feel better than I expected.

A high quality tool
This small plane is very well made and comes with a carry bag and extra blade. This is a specialized tool, but works well for what it is. I used this to plane the square edges off some shelves I made.

Cool little tool...
I really didn't know what to expect with this plane, as I have never seen a small plane that uses a carbide insert. However, I'm pleased to find out that it really works as advertised. The aluminum body is nicely finished and easy to hold. If you look at the photos you'll see that the base isn't flat. Rather, there is an offset that matches the height of the carbide cutting edge. This is in contrast to a normal plane where the blade protrudes out beyond the flat sole.I had a chance to run it quickly on a few scrap boards of white oak. It worked well, albeit you have to be a bit careful starting it on hardwood as you don't want to damage the carbide edge. It was able to shave off the corner of the board as expected. You get an extra insert and a wrench. This size of insert is pretty easy to find so you will never be short of them.

Sharp and Effective Edge Trimmer
The Carbide Insert Chamfer Plane is a reliable tool for trimming and chamfering wood edges. The square blade with four edges is very sharp, making clean cuts with minimal effort. It's easy to handle and works well for fine details. The durability of the carbide blade is a plus, as it holds its edge over time. Overall, this tool is a solid choice for anyone needing precise edge trimming in woodworking.

It shaves nice curls off the corner of a board.
This is a nice pocket size plane that's good at easing edges/corners of boards. I tried it on straight grain poplar. It made nice curled shavings and was easy to use, no adjusting necessary. It also seems to work on cross grain for easing the edge. Using this plane with a quick bit of sanding will give you a nice eased edge. The carbide cutter has 4 edges and it comes with a spare so this should last a very long time.
