Got it to look for gold. But I discovered another world of tinny. It is great for the price.

This is one of the best pocket microscopes ive ever used. I like how it can clip to your phone and you can take pictures to show other people. Also it comes with a few slides of different things like fly mouth parts and a honey bees foreleg. Really easy to use, amazing focus and magnification. Highly recommended

This product is portable but it did not work on my iphone.

We purchased this for out grandchildren. They love it and were so excited to explore. They are 4 and 3 so this was perfect for them and it will also provide more opportunities as they get older.

Absolutely garbage. Low quality junk. Focus is difficult to use and also may not be centered.

This is a Christmas gift so I do not know if it's great or not but the kid is home schooled and I'm sure this will be awesome.

I recently got the 100x-250x Mini Pocket Microscope, and it's a charming little gadget! It's fairly small and cute, making it easy to carry around. I primarily use it to inspect electric circuits and for those pesky splinters that seem to appear out of nowhere. It's reassuring to have some magnification options readily available for various situations. While I don’t use it for its intended educational purpose, I can see how much fun kids would have exploring the garden or their surroundings with this microscope. It comes with prepared slides, which provide a great starting point for young scientists. The built-in light is a nice touch, although it uses a AA battery, which isn’t included—something to keep in mind. The hard case it comes with is fantastic; it offers good protection for the microscope. As for image quality, it’s important to remember that this isn’t a high-end microscope with cutting-edge optics. You might notice some chromatic aberration, which is common, but it's not a deal-breaker for day-to-day use. As a photographer, I’m more aware of these things, but I think most casual users will find it perfectly adequate. Plus, it includes a phone adapter that works well, making it easy to capture images of what you’re examining. Overall, it’s a fun and useful little tool to have around!

Excellent product, well packed, nice case for keeping it. It is a really good gift for a kid (7-12 years old, I would say). Adults enjoy as well. It is an interesting gift for entertainment and learning.

Very interesting concept, but it’s difficult to install the microscope onto the phone camera and have it to keep it in place (especially most phone have multiple cameras now). Difficult for a 5 year old to maneuver and look at things for themselves. Maybe better for older kids.

J'avoue que je n'avais pas de très grandes attentes par rapport à un microscope pour enfant à 28$. J'ai eu un microscope pour enfant lorsque j'étais jeune et je n'avais pas été très impressionné. Par contre, celui-ci fonctionne quand même bien pour le prix. Positif: - Il a un bon facteur de grossissement. On parle de 100X à 250X. Difficile à évaluer la véracité de ces facteurs. Mais j'ai tout de même été capable d'observer de très près : des grains de sel et de poivre, les fibres d'une feuille de papier, un morceau de bois, un cheveux, etc. - Il est intéressant qu'il soit fourni avec le microscope des plaquettes d'observation comme démo. Cependant, nous y avons vite fait le tour et elles perdent vite en intérêt. - La qualité optique de l'image est très bonne - Il y a également une lampe UV que l'on peut allumer temporairement avec un bouton. Je n'en connais pas l'utilité réelle. Mais je suppose qu'elle peut servir à observer des sujet réagissant aux UV. Par mesure de sécurité, la lampe UV s'éteint dès que nous relâchons le bouton. Cela limite le risque d'éclairer les yeux de quelqu'un avec, ce qui est très dommageable pour la rétine de l'œil. - Il y a une pince que l'on peut installer pour y fixer l'objectif de notre téléphone cellulaire - Il vient avec un petit étuis de transport et le tout est très léger - C'est parfait pour initier les enfants au monde microscopique. Ça leur donne un nouveau point de vue. C'est tout aussi intéressant pour les parents. Négatif: - La pince pour fixer le microscope à un téléphone cellulaire est difficile à utiliser. Il n'est pas évident de bien aligner l'objectif de la caméra avec l'oculaire du microscope. De plus, le poids du cellulaire rend difficile une observation car il faut souvent maintenir le cellulaire en place tout en maintenant immobile le microscope pour ne pas perdre de vu ce que l'on observe et ainsi perdre la mise au point. - La mise au point n'est pas toujours évidente lorsque l'objet à observer a une certaine épaisseur. Il est préférable de privilégier des sujets plats tel que des surfaces planes. - Il aurait été intéressant d'avoir des plaquettes vierges que nous aurions pu utiliser pour observer certains sujets plus facilement. Mais en résumé, ce petit microscope passionnera sans doute les enfants… et les parents pendant encore longtemps.
