Worked first time.
Very easy to set up with helpful instruction. Worked first time. May not be as sturdy as the Craftsman original, but decent enough for everyday use. Will recommend to anyone who is looking for a replacement remote.

Worked Perfectly First Time for Two New Remotes
I replaced two 139.53681 remotes which have three blue buttons in gray case with "Craftsman" noted on case. I could get one of the original transmitters to connect but not both so I purchased these replacements. I followed instructions for new devices which noted to click three times when "Learn" button is red as mine was. I first cleared the existing codes by holding the "Learn" button for 6 or more seconds. I then programmed the first new device and it worked perfectly the first time. I then followed the same process with the second opener and it worked as well. I then rechecked the first new device and it also still worked as expected. Very pleased with purchase.

Programmed to new opener with no problem.
Programming went just fine for the first remote but couldn’t get the programming light to come on for the second one. Took out the battery and tested it and it was totally dead. Put in a new battery and wash able to program it with no problem.

Cheap, Cheap, Cheap
What did. you expect for such a low price?. One arrived with a dead battery. Replacing the battery is a little fiddly. Be careful opening the case, its fragile. The battery is trapped and cannot be removed without removing the circuit board (gently push against the small clips holding the board in, one at a time. Try not to break them). Once the battery is replaced, reverse the process one clip at a time. Reassemble the case, Pushing gently all around the edge, and if you’re lucky it will pop back in position. Then you can program it. Follow the six step instructions exactly. Avoid frustration by locating the “programming” button on the back of the controller before you start. It will probably take 2 or 3 tries, but don’t give up! When it finally works, congratulate yourself on saving a few bucks, you’ve earned it!Update: Transmitter has limited range, struggles to open garage door from 40’ away, requires multiple tries to open. Rating dropped from 3 to 2 stars.Update #2: Transmitter stopped working (had new battery installed previously). Rating dropped from 2 to 1 star.
