1st time trying this. Very good. Like strong green tea but with a malty kick, mellow caffeine and you do use a lot at once but it can be reinfused.. will try more mate

Great mate to begin with. The taste is great, provided you make it properly. Make sure you do enough research on how to NOT ruin it. You can easily re-pour at least 8-10 times, as you should. I don't have the traditional mate gourd but my little thermos mug works just fine. Instructions: boil water around 75-80 degree Celsius. Fill up your mug/gourd just over half with the mate leaves. Turn it upside down, cover with your hand and give it a shake, turn it on its side and give it another shake. Tilt your container and form a 45 degree angle of the mate leaves inside. Insert your bombillo (the straw) and pour some cold water first. DO NOT move the bombillo after this point and DO NOT stir. Add the perfectly boiled water at said temperature upto the brim. The first sip is usually spat out and then enjoy your perfect mate. It gives me a nice light buzz and lifts the spirits everytime I drink it. Does not give you a caffeine crash experienced after having coffee. I love a good coffe as well, nothing against it but mate is another love affair. Some might find it weird tasting at the beginning but I guarantee you'll develop a palate for it after drinking it a few times. Full of antioxidants, vitamin c and perfect for fasting as it regulates the metabolism and appetite!

This Yerba mate is really good I tried currently multiple yerba mate, this one have both yerba mate flavor and bitter taste. I really Recommend. That's my first time finish 500g of yerba mate in one month. Probably will buy again after my new yerba mate from different brands finish!

Il Cruz de Malta è il miglior yerba mate. Polvere di yerba contenuta al minimo, "elaborado con palo", senza inopportuni aromi estranei aggiunti. Ne consumo quotidianamente e considero conveniente acquistarlo qui, su Amazon tedesco, visto che comprese le modeste spese di spedizione se ordino 5-10 pacchi risparmio molto rispetto all'acquisto equivalente in Italia, dove abito. Consiglio non tanto una buona matera (che, se nuova, deve essere trattata: ci sono diverse guide in internet ma l'essenziale è riempirla di yerba mate e acqua e lasciarla così per tre giorni; inoltre per il Cruz de Malta deve essere piccola, non grande come la calabaza usata in Brasile) quanto una buona bombilla, il cui filtro consenta un buon tiraggio senza portare alla bocca pezzi di yerba. La polvere presente nel pacco, che sporca l'interno della bombilla, volendo può essere filtrata e usata in bustine da tè vuote che si trovano facilmente in commercio per fare un ottimo "mate del missionario", tisana eseguita con le stesse modalità del tè. Ho usato decine di tipi di yerba mate differenti in questi anni ma il Cruz de Malta resta sempre il migliore, più equilibrato e senza sorprese.
