Been using these for 5 years now and they're never failed or moved the slightest bit. First pair i bought are still on the rug after 5 years and folding the rug over 100 times since

Genius Worth The Money !
Considering that these are plastic and Velcro, they seemed pricey to me. But what makes them well worth the money and what I am happy to support is the genius of this simple, super effective. Item. Thank you to the inventor.

One of those gadgets that can be used in different situations
I got these plates to use with my bass drum, but it looks like I will be using them with some of my hand percussion stands as well.It is important to note that the velcro doesn't attach equally to all rugs or mats. In my case, I have a low pile rug, not exactly a drum mat, and the plates do not attach as well as when I use drum rugs (see photos for reference). That's why I am keeping one star. Still, these plates stop very well my 18" bass drum. They are very lightweight and do not take up much space, which is good for keeping them in the hardware case or gig toolbox.

between a 3 and 4 star= but may be what you need
Full disclosure- I got thus item for free through amazon vine in exchange for my review. However I give honest reviews and consider the price point (for instance I don't compare 15$ items to 100$ versions) and what the purpose of the item is.These may be perfect for you and a quick solution. I do plan to use them for something, however not what i initially planned. You do have to consider that whatever you use them for on your kit, it has to have a rug that will latch to velcro- or install mating velcro to the locations. They are basically lightweight plastic partial circles with velcro attached. you can set them against or around stand feet, bass drum spurs, etc and they will help prevent walking. You can't really use them in front of a straight edge- for instance the front of a slave bass drum pedal- because of the shape- so in this case you have to use one on each corner of that pedal, if you have room (and that is usually a crowded area with the hihat stand, etc,). I can see them being useful in a number of applications, however.the other reason for the lower stars- while I understand that there is overhead and that these are a new item so production cost may be a bit higher- the list price for a pair of these is a bit on the high side, and would make it prohibitive for most drummers to use on a whole kit. As a do it yourself, I could adhese velcro to small blocks of wood or plastic custom shaped for their position. However not everyone can or is willing to do that- so - my verdict is- they may work for you in one of your situations and with a quick 2 day shipping you could have a problem solved.

Worked well
I have used them one time so far and they kept my bass from walking away!

Like ‘em with just a one slight note
First, brilliant idea. When I use to drum in bands, if we played in a wood or tiled stage, I would be gaff tapping the crap out of my drum rug and bass drum spurs to keep from slip sliding away. Even on carpet the bass would be Mr. Shifty on me and once I found gaff tape, life was usually good. These hooves however are my latest new best buds. I hit hard and even though it’s an electronic mini kick drum now, it can still move, at least it did until I put in a pair of these. While they were not initially solid (the Velcro didn’t like my drum rug,) I put down a couple of strips of loop fabric on the rug and that totally locked ‘em down. In fact, in case the stick ’em between the rug and loop fails, I’m planing on sewing them in place (it’s a thin drum rug.) I know the hooves are a bit lighter than I’d like, but once on the rug with the loop fabric I don’t see or feel anything that needs doctoring.

Rock Solid Stabilizers for Runaway Hi Hat Stands!
Have a problem with part of your drum set trying to run away, no matter what you try to do to stop it (...a Bon Jovi song needlessly starts playing in the mind). My hi hat stand has been trying to escape since the day I got my kit. Grab yourself these JK Drumplates, open the package and slap them down - problem solved, for good! It's just that simple. These drum hooves are rock solid, built to last and do exactly as they are advertised.

Good concept, poor execution.
JK DRUMPLATES 2-Pack Drum Hooves | These are small, plastic hoof-shaped semi-circle rings that you can place in front of the legs of your drum pieces that tend to move during playing. What I expected was either solid plastic, or filled plastic pieces, but these are completely hollow. The construction is entirely underwhelming. The bottom is the hook side of hook and loop (aka Velcro), and it only does a mediocre job of "attaching" to my drum mat. These will work best for folks that use a rug or mat with higher pile.If they had more weight to them, I would expect them to work much better, as there would be more friction. As is, they will only work if you have a mat with enough pile to act like the other half of velcro, if you install velcro, or if they are weighted down. So, they only do half the job they were designed for. Not recommended.
