Vesta Chow Mein - 6 x 161gm

Sixty years ago, young and newly married and both having jobs, this was a once a week treat in our household. Moving overseas, we had no access to this product and only came across it again when browsing some food items at the start of the first lockdown. We didn’t realise it had survived. It’s excellent flavour and texture is excellent.

Love vesta meals, but very expensive on line, when the real cost is £1.99 per pack. And where can I get the crispy noodles seperatly? Please

Given that this is my third order I’d say action is louder than words. A bit more expensive than the stores however when in isolation the choices are limited. Tasty despite it being a dried food, but because of that storage is easy, no fridge or freezer required.

When I was younger Vesta meals were always enjoyed ,especially the Chow Mein , so when I saw it for sale again , I thought 'Great' lets have some. Bad mistake ! The box said New Crispy noodles. When I tasted them they were awful. No resemblace to the old original at all. Premier Foods (Makers) said " We have not been able to produce this much-loved product recently because one of the much-loved component in Vesta- the Crispy noodles that are unique in the world to Vesta - is no longer available. This is because the factory that makes the noodles has ceased production due to low demand and we can no longer source them." So there we are , gone forever are the old originals.

Why has vesta changed the crispy noodles? The old ones were lovely. The new ones taste horrible, why did vesta change them? I will not buy this product again, what a shame it has always been a meal I have enjoyed until they changed the crispy noodles.

just yummy and quick and easy and handy at the end of the pay month lol And I love crispy noodles, as do all of my chins, lol

Love these but so hard to get.
