Sophisticated but simple to use
My experience with laser guides is limited as I've always used tried-and-true old skool methods to keep me level and plumb. When I came upon the Bosch GLL3-330CG and read about it I was intrigued - so much so that I decided to modernize my methods and add it to my tool box. Right out of the gate I was pleasantly surprised as to how easy it was to set up. "Intuitive" is a good word for that. I ran the level all day for multiple days on various jobs and actually found myself smiling a lot as I appreciated the job it was doing helping me to do my jobs. It's a nice piece of technology - well built and packed very nicely in it's Bosch blue tough-case. Five stars for this!

Great tool
Works well. Green beam is much better than the red one but still somewhat difficult to see in sunlight. Overcast days it’s quite visible.

Do you want this? Sure. Do you need it? Absolutely you do!
Been in the construction industry for 25 years. Everything from running heavy equipment to framing to finishing concrete. There are a few essential tools that I rely on regardless of the task at hand. Tape measure, level, cordless impact driver, etc etc. You get the picture. A couple of weeks ago, after many weeks of reviewing all the different laser levels out there, including the rotating models, I pulled the trigger on the Bosch GLL3-330CG. After using it for a couple of weeks I only have one comment: How the heck did I get along without it all these years? I can confidently say that it has quickly become an essential tool for me.Where do I begin? Out of the box I was impressed with the workmanship and quality of this level. I firmly believe you get what you pay for when it comes to things like this. I didn't have to even read the instructions to begin using it - it's that simple and intuitive. The ability to pair it with my Iphone and remotely control it was fabulous! I strongly recommend getting the Bosch tripod to mount it on as it greatly enhances the flexibility of this unit. The green laser has to be seen to be believed. Truly astounding. I've used it to frame walls, lay out wall lines, check elevations, and square rooms. It is eye-opening the different tasks I've used this for. As far as accuracy is concerned, it's dead on. And I mean dead on!I can't say enough good things about this level. Even if you just dabble in construction products, I highly recommend looking into this. If you do construction for a living, then it's a no brainer.

Great for doing room layout, etc
This was expensive, but, you get what you pay for. Good build quality. Stable. Easy fine adjustments.

Came with a dead bluetooth battery but a great tool.
Amazing tool but some things can be improved. Functionally the laser performs very well but I have some small complaints.1) The flashing when the laser is in locked mode is very annoying and I found no way to turn that off. I don't need to be constantly reminded that the laser isn't level by turning on and off as I'm trying to use it.2) My unit shipped with a dead 2032 battery that caused much frustration when trying to get the bluetooth connection working. I contacted support and was about to return the unit when I decided to try a new battery that fixed the issue.3) The Bosch storage cases are terrible. The case this came in is 2x bigger than is necessary as all the components that came with the laser easily fit inside a small Festool systainer (see picture).4) The yaw pivot for the laser mount is too loose and it's easy to bump the laser from the position you've set. This is because it is also the means of installing the laser and needs to be easy to turn in order to screw the laser on to the mount. Screwing it on is also tedious and slow. More work is needed on this design.5) The Bosch manuals are very .... German. Extremely tedious and packed with information that isn't entirely useful. The fact that the button battery had a protective cover that needed to be removed before use was buried in the fine print of the manual rather than being on a big yellow card stuck to the outside of the unit for easy recognition when opening the box. Bosch needs to add a quick start guide for the basics of operation with a QR code for access to the full manual. This would save them money and the user frustration.Overall it's an amazing tool that will save countless hours of measuring over it's lifetime and I highly recommend it. Having the full 360 beam is definitely the way to go since you don't have to worry about finding a way to mount the laser to get the beam out in the needed direction.

Best for the money
This is very easy to use and made even easier with Bosch's Leveling Remote app. This level should be a good compromise unit for use indoors and out and cheaper than the larger rotary levels for bigger site use. It partners well with the LR8 receiver for daylight use. It comes in a very sturdy plastic case with strong metal buckle fasteners. Since I suspec that many buyers also get the reciever, it is disappointing that the case wasnt made just a bit bigger to house that as well. Other than that, the GLL3-330CG appears to be Bosch's standard blend of decent cost and high quality.

Best multi-plane out there in an affordable price range.
I stock these in multiple toolboxes at work. We use them to install and adjust medical lasers. I have seen other types of lasers that are more expensive and can't even place a line below the laser. This laser has proven itself to be very durable and accurate even after years of shipping them to many places internationally. The beams are bright, which will drain batteries, so have extra batteries on hand.

works great in lower light conditions.
I bought for installing artwork in a complete finished basement for a friend it works perfect for that application. Using it outside in the early morning light was fine, but when the sun came up, the light was nearly impossible to see. if using inside a house, this will work great. If outside and in low light, it will work fine.
