Upgraded replacement for the original failed switch
The pressure switch failed after several years on my SS5L5 compressor. I was working in the shop and paused to wonder... what is that awful noise. The poor pump head was trying its hardest to shove 145-150psi into the tank, which is apparently the mechanical limit of the pump, and the noise it created was loud, funny if not borderline terrifying. This switch was a drop in replacement and already calibrated correctly. I did have to refabricate the unloader tube in my case as the old and new attach to the switch a little differently but that was simply done with automotive brake line bending pliers.

this doesn't fit the TS5
This definitely did not fit the TS5 compressor. I needed to cannibalize the old one for a number of parts. First it has no accommodation for a pressure relief valve which I consider a serious omission since these things always fail with the points closed. It had a port of 1/2 inch instead of the 3/8th inch the original had and the piping was configured in a rather different direction. I had to remove the aluminum port structure from the old one and put it on the new one. It also has a different shut off pressure, of 135 as opposed to 150. But it works OK and I didn't have to have the 150PSI in the shop. Trying to find the OEM replacement was not happening, at least not from Amazon. I'm just writing this as a caution for others. The tool is up and running again with some effort and a mess of tools..

23474661 Ingersoll
I’m not sure if people are just outright guessing and ordering the wrong part number but I bought one of the return switches. It was unused as I suspected and was the correct part number 23474661 The install was simple using a Phillips screwdriver, 7/8” wrench and 1/2” wrench.
