Eufy S3 Pro - Brilliant Security Cameras & Security System
I have been waiting for cameras like these to be released for many years. Finally the wait is over. I bought the Eufy S3 Pro 2 x camera and base unit on their release day for my house. I was that impressed with the cameras, the system, the recordings, the daytime night vision (it really is that good and really works, it’s like magic - they are not set to this out of the box you need to go into settings to enable this mode - there are other nighttime modes to choose from as well) and the solar charging, that I recommended them to two friends (who also bought this system and are as impressed as myself) and I also bought a second 2 x cameras & base unit to install for use at the office. For me the full HomeKit integration with Apple HomeKit AND HomeKit secure video is the reason why I have been waiting so long for something as good and as easy to install as the Eufy S300 Pro. Homekit is not essential for these cameras to work, arguably using the Eufy app is a better experience, but I’m an Apple HomeKit fan. HomeKit compatibility is a rarity and HomeKit secure video is even more a rarity especially with them being outdoor wireless solar charged cameras. Well done Eufy, adding all of these features into your cameras and system is very refreshing and has been the reason why I bought the system. My friends who also bought them (mentioned earlier) do not use them with HomeKit, solely with the Eufy app and they could not be happier. One major selling point is that unlike others, Eufy do not charge monthly subscription fees for their cameras / recordings. If you are looking to buy cameras I would suggest you need to be aware of this. The Eufy cameras are fully featured and available without their software being restricted right out of the box. I previously used Arlo cameras (3 x Arlo ultra) but never liked them. The cameras were ok but their system was terrible. I have taken them down and sold them on. They have been replaced by the Eufy cameras and system. The Eufy ones, not just as cameras but as a whole system are night and day different to Arlo. I felt I was ripped off with Arlo, I didn’t fully understand that my security cameras would effectively be useless unless I paid Arlo a monthly subscription fee. Without paying the fee I could not view the recordings on the Arlo system remotely (away from home) unless I opened up some ports on my router / firewall (that didn’t sound very secure to do), I could also not create action zones (zones where you draw a box around an area where you want to record but not record or send alerts outside of this area), these are major things, essentials even. Arlo are the security cameras that don’t want to give you much security unless you pay them monthly to do so. Eufy has been a great breath of fresh air. These cameras are great and I highly recommend them to anyone looking to buy a home security camera system. The image quality, the recordings, the notifications have been great. Well done Eufy, keep up the good work. It’s great to see you have fully adopted HomeKit and looking forward to more HomeKit devices from you in the future.

Reliable, easy install and setup, excellent clarity
Very easy install, added a 2TB ssd to Homebase 3 no problem excellent performance highly recommended. There is an option for cloud backup at £39 per annum for two cameras, but it isn’t a mandatory requirement as storage of files is on the Homebase, but if you want a backup of the files in cloud there is a cost. Replaces Hive outdoor camera that stopped working 01st August, compared to the Hive camera Eufy is is far superior

Good build quality and handy to have a solar panel included. However, for the solar panel to receive charge it does need to be located in a place that will receive full sun light.The eufy app features good functions and very adaptable and customisable to your needs. For example you can adjust the sensitivity of the motion detection.This camera system does offer 24/7 recording which I understand is now available, although I am yet to purchase their outdoor cable and expanded the storage on the homebase to allow for this function.

Not happy with this system, read why!
These cameras, while look the part. They are with great regret to inform you, legitimate junk.False positives constantly telling me birds are humans, drain pipes are humans despite telling it no, no its not. (And it's not even set up in that zone to detect there)I have 3 of these cameras wired up for continuous power and the box is placed well in my home, however depsite this the camera feeds are often TWO WHOLE MINUTES behind whats actually happened or fails to connect at all despite having a full signal. The only exception on this is the eufy doorbell which is accurate. The rest of the system is just pure crap.Camera quality is NOT 4k as advertised, more like 2.7k but the night vision is however amazing. That is all these cameras have going for them with their F1.0 lenses for the great night vision. You also CANNOT record 3 continuous streams at the same time or the whole system falls over, so I can only have it set to one camera. I am appalled at the overal system and price point given that this is the experience I am suffering. If I could return the whole system for a refund I WOULD.I installed a 2TB drive into the homebase at additional cost, but despite the system saying I can go back and look at footage from 2 months ago or further, NO footage is available to review, it says no content is available. Door sensors also DO NOT keep track of when the doors were opened and will often update a whole day later!Anker/eufy if you're reading this, reach out to me becuase the way these cameras are working for me is absolutely abysmal and I should be compensated or better still, refunded. I opted for this brand with the knowledge of the exceptional quality of other anker products but I feel totally scammed when it comes to this setup.So all in I bought 3 cameras, the dual camera doorbell, a homebase, 4 door sensors, and continuous power cables costing me the best part or just over a thousand english pounds. And to be honest with you I feel totally conned.Not a happy customer at all.
