This hand crank bread slicer is a total game changer. I mostly use it for sourdough, but it slices any loaf like a pro. Its easy to adjust the thickness of the slice. Its a good size and has decent suction cups to hold it in place. It’s sturdy, smooth, and strangely satisfying to use. Honestly, it might be the most useful and oddly joyful thing in my kitchen and at a great price. I’d crank bread all day if carbs didn’t fight back.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Got this on sale and I absolutely love it. I’ve been having the hardest time getting good even slices and this thing makes it so easy. Stays stuck to the counter so it doesn’t slide. The knob to adjust the size tightens if you just want to keep it at the same thickness. Cuts clean through my sourdough loaves easily and evenly. The slices do fall under the crank part as you’re slicing which is a little annoying but does not hinder the actual slicing at all. I could not wait to use this thing and I’m in love i would absolutely recommend giving it a try if you struggled with cutting boules like me

I have been making artisan bread for over 20 years and always have had a hard time cutting uniform slices for sandwiches. This has changed the game for me. Not only is it easy to use but it cuts nice thin slices. I have invested in expensive bread knives but none of them got me the results that I have gotten from this device. Worth every penny.

I bought this manual bread slicer specifically for my homemade sourdough loaves, and it’s been a helpful tool—but not flawless. Once the loaf is properly positioned, it delivers even, uniform cuts—great for sandwiches or toast. The adjustable guides accommodate the wider size and irregular shape of sourdough, which many slicers can’t handle. Very durable It holds up well against the dense texture of sourdough. Setup takes practice It took a few tries to align the loaf just right without it shifting. Cleanup can be messy. It is very aesthetically pleasing!vA solid tool if you regularly bake sourdough, but be ready to spend a little time getting the technique down.

Needed a quality / reasonably priced bread slicing tool to slice up a dozen loafs of homemade sourdough bread for a party. Normally just slice with a good bread knife by hand but this was simply too much. Took a chance on this Brvclon unit and was frankly surprised at how good it is. Fresh Sourdough isn't easy to slice. Tough and crusty outside, soft and sometimes inconsistent crumb inside. I sliced all 12 loaves in about 20 minutes or so, including putting the slices in their party storage containers. It cut every slice just right and of equal thickness. I got more slices out of each loaf than usual by hand. Probably an extra 20% easy. Cool. The little machine worked great. Easy to adjust thickness and cut. One issue you might have is that the base to the left of the blade (the uncut loaf side) is too small to support a whole loaf. So I just put a small cutting board of the same height to provide more surface support. NP. I've since used this machine on my other breads and doubt I'll be using my trusty bread knife as much in the future!!

At first, I was loving this manual bread slicer. But here’s the bummer: after just a couple of use, the wooden handle started loosening and finally snapped right off. I saw other folks had the same issue, so it’s not just me. It still slices okay, but honestly, for the price, the build quality just doesn’t hold up. Not really something I’d recommend.

Just used it for the first time and am so pleased. It was easy to set up and worked great. There's nothing like fresh home-baked bread, and now we can have it sliced perfectly!

I've been baking sourdough for 5 years. I HATE slicing it. I've tried so many bread knives, each only marginally better than the one before. I coveted the manual slicer that cost hundreds, buy just couldn't do it. I finally decided I deserved to try it when I saw this one for under a hundred. WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?! It slices through the loaf with absolutely no effort; each slice perfectly, thinly uniform. What sorcery is this??? If you bake sourdough regularly, don't deprive yourself like I did.
