This book is BRUTAL. Absolutely worth the money, hard cover is textured and the art is amazing, absolutely stoked to have this in the library!

If you are fan of the 80s Transformers then this is the perfect comic for you. The EU perfectly combines the 80s with plot point points and Easter eggs similar to War And Fall of cybertron as well as Transformers Prime. Bringing back fan favorites like Devastator, Wheel Jack, Beachcomber, Shockwave, Elita one, and Jetfire while simultaneously subverting expectations and killing Two of the Auto Bots who have been around for almost 20 years!! Finally it feels like Transformers is in the right hands. Don’t forget to pay close attention a certain soldier makes a surprise cameo!

Daniel Warren Johnson proves just how much he understands and is a Fan of The Transformers with just these 12 issues. There are spreads in this that give me tingles every time I look/read them. If you are a Fan of The Transformers, this is a Must Buy. If you are curious about the franchise and are interested in a gloves-off knockdown brawl of an origin... This is the Book for You

I would recommend this for any mature individual interested in transformers. The book is comprised of the first 12 issues of the skybound series with some extra writers notes and concept art at the end. The only break is between issues 6 and 7 after the end of the first story arc. The book contains some gore and violence that may not be suitable for younger fans. If you want a hard back version of this story it is a great option. There are 2 other variant covers of this that include the same contents. I can't wait for the next hard back to come out, unfortunately it probably will be a year. As of writing this we just got issue 20 and we will need to reach 24 to get the next hardcover book. I guess I'll invest in the gi joe and void rivals books in the meantime.

I'm a big fan of IDW's run with Transformers and when that run ended I felt that no other company would be able to hold a light to the stuff IDW did with the Transformers franchise but I was wrong. Kirkman's Skybound pushes the envelope and weaves an epic tale of war, conflict, and the impact it has. All while telling a great story of two factions of robots beating each other to a pulp. If you're a fan of Transformers then you ned to pick this one up.

The drawings are great, the story is amazing and it’s just overall a good comic series.

Utterly superb. Beautiful illustrations, well presented in a stunning hardcover book! Skybound’s approach to a gritty G1 Transformers story is refreshing and exhilarating. Couldn’t recommend this enough!
