This is a very basic and very inexpensive thermal camera that gets the job done. I got this just to look for insulation problems with my home and it is perfect for that. If I had to do it again I would probably have spent more and purchased the higher resolution model just because I have found plenty of other uses for this since getting it. I highly recommend it if you are just trying to improve the energy efficiency of your home.

Works perfectly! I used this to diagnos an issue with a room being too cold. Ended up finding that a roll of insulation was missing in the ceiling. Saved me time and made my house more energy efficient.

Resolution is enough to see hot outlets and wall and ceiling studs. Downside is you might see bad insulation and construction of your home and not be able to do anything about it!Pulling the trigger will save a photo of the screen. You can then review to photos on the device.Plugging into a computer will open a file window named (for example)Computer\Cobra\storage\IR202501 Cobra. From there the photos can be dragged to the computer.The filenames have the date and time, for example: IR20250113163934.jpeg.I've wanted an IR camera for decades and this is a great, affordable one.

This is a lot better quality than I expected for the price. The resolution is a bit low, but for my purposes it doesn't really matter. I primarily use it to check the temp on lithium batteries as they charging to make sure they are not over heating. I also use it to check the temperature of metal items I'm working on with my lathe to be sure they are cool enough to touch before i grab them out of the chuck.It's a solid device, well built, and does the job I need it for very well.

This is the least expensive functional thermal imaging camera (TIC) out there, and it shows. The unit is well built and seems sturdy. The battery lasts long enough to be useful for multiple applications. The screen is bright and the colors are vivid. However, the image is fuzzy and lacks detail. The screen is small, making the field of view narrow. It lacks many useful features found in more expensive models, like being able to export images wirelessly. But this is a usable TIC for half the price of what most consumer grade models cost.

Nice addition to the HVAC tool box. I don't need a thermal cam everyday so this model was a great value for the price.It would be nice if it came with a storage case.I ended up getting an Apache case from harbor freight and cutting the molded section of the product package to fit.
