I installed it with no issues. The installation instructions can be better. You need a flat screwdriver, a philips head screwdriver, a star screwdriver, included tool, and zip ties or electrical tape to secure the cables and the box. For 2024 Mitsubishi Outlander, you need to remove the hood release handle (just pull), two screws (inside fuse box, under fuse box), and plastic panels by pulling them, tool helps a bit (bottom, left, and fuse box area). Pull the fuse box while pushing a tab on the left. Remove two screws for the BCM and pull. The BCCM orientation on the instruction's manual is vertical. However, in the car it is horizontal. Pull the gray connector and connect the T harness. Pull the OBDII connector and connect the T harness. Follow the programming steps next. You are done! It took me about 30 mins. I wish I took pictures.

Instructions are A little Quirky, Just Remember For Mitsubishi Outlander Both Large T Harnesses Plug into the same control unit. Otherwise A Quick and easy install.

Works very well. I was annoyed with Mitsubishi for wanting a paid subscription for the honor and accessing a build in feature. Thankfully, I discovered these kits were available. Understand that this is not performing its own remote start of the engine - it is actually just making the same command call that the Mitsubishi Phone app would send. This is great since you are using the OEM functionality which is always safest. The instruction - ooooofff - pretty awful. Half of it is very basic info on specifics of the vehicle (kind of) and the rest is just generic instruction for all vehicles. But even the pictures at the beginning that are supposed to be specific were of a Nissan Rough (same platform as the Outlander). They didnt even have an instruction video of EITHER. I found a random video on You Tube that shows in detail how to get to the BCM on an Outlander. Search for: _US0ODtHRAA One I figured all of that out, installation went fine. Hardest part is stashing the wires making sure they are not rubbing up against any metal. The unit itself works exactly as I hoped and no more lame phone app.
