I try to hate on these Amazon Basics Gel Pens because they’re so cheap, but I keep coming back to them. They write smoothly, don’t skip, and feel surprisingly good in the hand. For the price, they’re hard to beat.

Fine ordered Sept 2018: These Amazon Basics "Fine" point gel pens make a MUCH wider/bolder line than any of the several other 0.7mm point gel pen brands that I've tried, including Uni-Ball Signo 207, Pentel EnerGel, Pilot G-2, Staples Aura Gel, and WalMart Casemate. This pen's line actually looks much closer to a Uni-Ball Signo 207 1.0mm "Bold" gel pen, and is bolder than the line from a Bic Atlantis 1.6mm ballpoint. Of course, a bolder line means the ink takes longer to dry, and it uses up the ink faster. At least these pens were inexpensive (I only paid $4.04 for a box of 12), but unfortunately I really didn't need 12 Bold gel pens. But if you like Bold gel pens, then you might like these; they're very comparable to a Uni-Ball 207 Bold. Ultra-Fine ordered Jan 2019: The Amazon Basics Ultra-Fine gel pens produce a line that is virtually identical to a Uni-Ball Signo 207 0.5mm Micro point gel pen. I actually don't like these Amazon Basics pen bodies very much; the 11mm diameter grip is a bit fat for my taste. But at around $9 for a box of 12, these Ultra-Fine pens are an inexpensive source for 0.5mm point gel refills to "hack" into my nice Parker, Waterman, and Sheaffer rollerball pens. I'd rate the Ultra-Fine refill at 5 stars, but my overall review stays at 4 stars because I still think the Fine refill is too bold, and the grip diameter for the pen bodies is fatter than I like.

Writes on many different type of paper. I have other gel pens and some have a hard time of some notebook paper. These work on all types of notebook paper, only type I buyt now

These pens do not write smoothly--very scratchy. Not what I expected for a gel pen.

I liked the price. I liked the fact that these are gel pens, which supposedly make it hard for the "bad guys" to wash one of your checks and put themselves down as the recipient. They also contain a good amount of ink, so you're not likely to have to toss a pen because it's empty. One caution: when I first tried writing with these I though they didn't work. Scribble on paper, nothing comes out. That's because the manufacturer put a tiny coat of some red stuff on the tip to keep the ink from drying out. Solution is simple: keep scribbling, drawing cartoons, or whatever, or just use a finger nail to peel the coating off, and you're good to go.

Amazon Basic Druckgelschreiber - Für das kleine Geld erhält man gleich 12 Kugelschreiber, die dazu auch noch hochwertig sind. Dank der Form und Länge sowie dem Griff liegt der Kugelschreiber angenehm in der Hand. Die feine Spitze ist sehr langlebig und hält viel Druck aus. Das Schreiben selbst erfolgt sanft, zugleich sehr präzise. Ich könnte mir gut vorstellen eine gelungene Skizze zu zeichnen. Längere Sitzungen sind nun problemlos. Weder meine Finger, noch mein Handgelenk fängt an zu schmerzen. Das Highlight ist wirklich die top Qualität und die Anzahl der Stifte. Nun muss man nicht mehr Ewigkeiten nach einen Stift suchen 😂 ein Griff in die Box und man hat schon eine hand-voll neuer Stifte.

Love writing with gel pens, but they get used up quite quickly, so to find a value pack was great. Thanks Amazon
