Unit arrived defective. The valve did not seal completely allowing water to flow all the time, albeit restricted. Given the price, rather than return it I decided to just open it up and take a look. The valve sort of sprung apart when I opened it up and after reassembling sealed and worked correctly so I assume it was just assembled wrong. Unit worked as programmed for about a week, but then I noticed it was not going off when it should. Manual does not seem to work either. No click. My guess is that the power is too low to operate the valve. It was installed in a somewhat shady spot, which could mean that even with 3 batteries it still needs solar power to continue to operate reliably? For comparison, I have another brand hose timer without solar that has been operating on the same AA battery for months with no issues. Price was attractive and somewhat easy to figure out programming.

Used this one time was gone for 10 days the end broke off at the faucet. It was set to run every three day for 10 minutes. Ran by water bill to 400.00 dollar. Would not recommend very poor design.

Easy to use, programming times, etc. are easy to set up.

The actual part that connects to the faucet is plastic and breaks plus the seal is not too good and leaks if it’s in a certain angle but other than that, they work just fine
