Works well
Easy to use and seems to work a treat. We applied two coats as per instructions. It seems to totally waterproof the Indian sand stone pavers. Let’s hope it lasts well.

Good Product
I applied this to my Indian Sandstone patio (which was newly laid as part of a garden refurb). The reason I bought it was because I wanted to avoid stains and spills ruining the appearance of the sandstone The instructions are easy to follow. Because the sandstone is very porous and requires a second coat before the first coat has dried, I applied it to a section of about 4 paving slabs at a time with a brush so I could easily apply the 2nd coat without walking on the slabs already coated, and then proceeded with the next section. I had plenty of the product left over after covering 18 sq meters with 2 coats. I think it very slightly enhanced the natural colours of the sandstone and water now beads on the top, so it is definitely now water resistant. I also found that you can wipe off any spills like tomato ketchup straight away without any staining. So I think it is a good product and does the job. Hopefully it will last a couple of years or so before I need to re-apply it.

Information on the Coverage expected, printed on the can, and on the ad., would have been useful. Fully testing with real rain has yet to happen!

Easy, effective, looks good
On the advice of the builder who installed my Indian Sandstone 20 square metres patio I bought this to protect from stains. The instructions were clear, there’s more than a third left after two coats and the effect on the stone is immediate. The picture shows the difference between treated and untreated stone six hours after application (although the second coat was applied only 20 minutes after the first on a warm, dry day). I used a normal paint roller and tray, after scrubbing the patio with a washing up liquid detergent solution. Very happy, good value and does exactly what was promised.

Pet-safe product
Bought Sika's water-based product as we have a cat and did not want to risk her walking on wet sealer which was solvent-based. This sealer applied easily other than it requires two coats. The second coat must be applied before the first has dried, meantime the first coat should not be walked on, all this complicated the application process slightly in that I had to coat small sections at a time - takes longer but very do-able if you have the patience! The sealer did not alter the appearance of the patio slabs at all. Our builder who laid the patio recommended using a solvent-based sealer (e.g. Thompson's) which I suspect might last longer but I don't know that...anyway as mentioned I wanted a pet-safe product and also the brushes etc. are much easier to clean with a water-based product. All in all I would recommend.

Great product
I was researching Indian Sandstone for the 60sq mtr of slabs I laid recently. I eventually chose Sika as there are so many products I ended up going with the name. I purchased 15ltrs but only needed 10 ltrs for two coats as suggested. I applied the product with a roller. I suggest care to minimise drips while you are working. The result has water running off with no deepening of the stone colour. It is only three weeks since treating the patio so cannot say how long the sealing of the stone will last. I haven't spilled any wine or staining substances as yet but I'm confident, based on how water behaves, the stone is stain protected.

Stone protector.
This stuff is brilliant and leaves an amazing clear waterproof finish. I’ve used this on my walk in shower room. Non slip and goes on easily with a smaller roller. I just tipped some on then rollered it over. Left it for about 3 hours and it had all soaked in. Best of all the ones I’ve tried and will continue to use this. Out side patio next!
