These 40mm black-ring capsules will make coins look visually stunning, and are perfect for the following silver coins:-- 1 oz American Silver Eagle (40.6mm diameter, 2.98mm thickness)-- 1 oz Mexican Libertad (40mm diameter, 3.0mm thickness)-- 1 oz Various Australian coins of 40.6mm diameter (e.g. Kookaburra, Kangaroo, Wedge-Tailed Eagle)Note that smaller capsules are available for coins/rounds of smaller diameter. While 1 oz generic silver rounds (almost all of which are 39mm diameter) will indeed fit into these 40mm capsules, there will be a noticeable gap between the black foam and the coin; moreover, the silver round may slide around a bit. 39mm capsules are available for those silver rounds, and that 1mm makes a difference.These 40mm capsules are shipped between thin layers of foam packaging to prevent cracking and scratching. All 20 of mine came in perfect condition, and all 20 black foam rings were intact. As other reviewers have pointed out, once the coin is placed into the capsule, it may be necessary to damage the capsule in order to retrieve the coin.The provided container with the red cap is made of thin clear flexible plastic; it's not incredibly durable but is appropriate for $3. (These capsules can be purchased without that container for $3 less.) Overall, this is a great product! I will purchase again!

Nothing fantastic about the product but it does the job well, easy to use, good quality. I really like the clear tube that came with it, holds 20 of my American Eagles...sharp!

Great for my coin storage. Awesome that they use airtits capsules with the black foam ring.

I like these, they hold coins quite snugly and keep them in good condition, and the individual containers are good for display or handing them out. There is a little hole in the cap to make closing the canister easier. Cons are that this does significantly increase the space taken up by the stack of coins, and if you do want to get them out again it can be troublesome, the boxes are quite tight. Good for long term storage, no so much for trading.However, it clearly does the job it is meant to do, so if that is what you want, I'd recommend it

The media could not be loaded. Fantastic capsules! 40 mm best suited for silver eagle ounce coins. Diameters of 1oz Canadian leafs, buffalo rounds, sunshine mint, barber coins etc do vary smaller than 40mm. Although these coins will fit with just a bit of play ...so if you want a tight fit for any of these other coins purchase the appropriate mm size foam insert. Great quality and true to the name they are air tite for sure. I WILL be buying these again.

Great item to organize Silver Dollar Collection and protect it.

These are great for protecting coins/bullion and I’ve purchased them in several sizes to protect my silver rounds. They fit great. Only downside is they are very difficult to open if you decide you want to take the contents out. I don’t plan to, so not an issue for me.
