Great Purchase. Worth every penny!
Honestly, I was a bit worried because of the analysis of price vs features vs brand. I was mostly satisfied with my previous one of a "big brand," but my wife was not happy because it did not come with a metal insert. And, of course, we all have our prejudices - and I have a wife with a crapload of those!Well, she went on a trip, and I had no cricket on my shoulder... so I took a chance! he-he-he-he!! (drumroll, please!)It honestly SEEMS a bit pricey, I will not deny that. YET, when comparing features, its HUGE capacity, the "stainless steel insert," it came very much cheaper than the main-brand ones. Now, I am honestly not sure if it is stainless steel. However, I have had this now for... let me do math here... the root square of... add the cosene... and dividied by Saturn's PI... IDK... 2 months? I am super impressed!I generally use it for rice. but not just boring white rice. I make rice with beans, rice with meat, sticky rice, basmati rice... and I recently used the pressure-cooking feature. It works just as, or better than, advertised!Only features that that are slightly annoying is that you have to press the one button a bunch of times until you get to the function you desire, and that I still have not figured out how to change the time once I engage the function. To be fair, for the latter, I have not opened the instructions manual (of course, I am a guy!), but I honestly have not needed it - it was mostly a curiosity. I will just let the wife figure it out in... 4 weeks, when the peace is over in the house! Sigh...Caution: DO NOT leave it unattended. IT WILL overcook your items! Because of the metal insert, it conducts heat very well! Its warming option is very, VERY effective. Honestly, just shut it down and leave the lid closed if you want to keep the food warm for another hour or so, then reheat it as necessary. You will also save on power.Lastly, something that never quite fit with the previous electric cooker we had. I had obtained a third-party silicone cover/lid for it, and it never quite fit. It FITS PERFECTLY for this! I wish I remembered where the heck I got it, but it is great now, whereas it was just meh back then.Something I wish it had was a way to easily lift the insert while it was still hot. I happen to have some hook-like thingys that easily attach to the insert sides, but I wish they came with it. But that is it. I love this!Anyway, GREAT purchase. Obviously, I have used it quite enough.

5qt Midea pressure cooker
I am an experienced pressure cook. I was cooking with pressure cookers on the stove for several years when I started using the Inslant Pot brand in 2016. Recently I needed to replace one of my Instant Pots that I use every day. Multiple Instant Pots that I bought as a replacement had a burn notice indicating an issue with the thermostat. I decided to try this 5qt Midea and I have been very happy. I have read that Midea actually manufactured the Instant Pots and I can see the resemblance. The Midea is much lighter due to the plastic lid. The inner pot is stainless steel so the food never touches plastic. I have never used the various settings except pressure cook and sous vide. Of course you can change the time and select quick pressure release. I make yogurt with the sous vide function at 113°F. One thing that is a negative is closing the lid. There are 2 white arrows that you need to line up to close the lid. It is a bit difficult and takes a few tries. All in all I love it and have been very happy with daily oatmeal, soups and rice. I also tried the slow cook function and was pleased with the results.I am changing to 4 stars because the inner pot is not stainless steel and might be aluminum.

Best Pressure Cooker I’ve Owned
This is my 4th pressure cooker. I use them a lot so over the years owned several brands. The size and shape of this one is so much easier to use! Plus the sous vide function is unmatched. I do wish it had a browning function instead of just sauté but overall I am very happy with this product.

Works just like it should.
Love this. I bought to replace a similar but very high priced named brand one. Works just like my old expensive one did but a lot lower price.
