Great workhorse PC
Out of the box, simple to set up. I printed a lot of REDDIT information explaining how to work around setup issues - but did not need any of it. Plugged it in, fired it up and followed the prompts. No challenges whatsoever. Purchased to use to rip my extensive DVD collection for posting on my personal PLEX server. It has a very capable processor, reasonable video GPU and excellent connectivity. I plugged in 4 USB DVD drives and was successful in quickly, repeatedly ripping 4 DVDs concurrently with hardware acceleration. I now have ready access to my extensive DVD library and the disks can be safely placed in storage in case of future need (or proof of licensing). The PC is delightfully small, fast to boot, supports dual monitors, has great memory and comes with Windows 11 Pro. It has been running cool and quiet. After a month of heavy use, I can recommend it.

So nice, so easy - as it should be
Quick shipment. Only a few things to plug in. Stared right up. Seems fast. Wireless networking was easy to configure and seems stable and consistent. OS functions as-advertised. Great looking little PC gives the impression it was pricier than it was… when you even see it. Form factors as SO small now, it’s wonderful. Quiet fan even when pushed hard.

Excellent value at 499 USD, meh at full price
Excellent computer with known design flaws. Knocks my gaming tower out of the ballpark. Had trouble updating Windows, so I put Fedora Linux and it works beautifully. It is very quiet as long as you're not sitting immediately in front of it. It could use more USB 4 ports. Haven't tried Bluetooth. Known issues: poor Wi-Fi range (mine isn't terrible), surprisingly slow front USB-C port)

Good Product except weak Wi-Fi and Bluetooth
I am a big fan of Beelink Mini PC and their quality oriented innovative approach. All their Mini PC's including this one, is noise free almost. I have not yet heard a loud fan sound till now. I and my family have 5 Beelink Mini PC's so far (including this one). Beelink SER 8 (this one) is more dust proof, compared to earlier models that I have. Please note that the AMD Ryzen 7 8745HS does not have a built-in AI processor unit (NPU). There are only 2 power modes, Balanced (Default) and Performace. The Edit Power button does not switch to Performance mode. If one needs to switch to Performance mode, they have been advised to contact Beelink's customer service. Like Most users, I use Wi-Fi only for accessing the Internet. Wi-Fi & BT are the weak spots for this mini PC. Pros: Backed by Beelink quality. Noiseless fan. Dust proof enclosure. Other than Wi-Fi & BT, product is very good. Cons: Weak Wi-Fi and Weakest Bluetooth. Beelink still uses AX200, an old model Wi-Fi Network card. BT does not work beyond 10 feet. AMD has collaborated with Mediatek and introduced RZ608 & RZ616 (AMD's own Wi-Fi 6E models), which are far superior than AX200. Beelink should have used any Network card that supports Wi-Fi 6E and 7, instead of AX200. PS: I switched to wired connection (cat 8 ethernet cable) and the internet connection is faster and the browsing and online data managing experience have been better. Bluetooth continues to be a big pain without resolution.

Very happy owner
This was a great upgrade to my eleven year desk top set up. Windows 11 had two programs installed in addition to a windows and was mostly a clean installation of windows compared to other OEM's. After ensuring the windows partition worked, I did install Fedora Linux and had zero issues with the bios in dual booting both operating systems. The computer itself is extremely quiet and cool when running some light gaming on Steam, with great graphics quality for a small desktop without a dedicated graphics cards. Build quality is solid, doesn't use a ton of power or space, and looks nice. Unless you are into high end gaming, video editing 4k, or running local AI models, this more than enough computing power at a great price.

Great PC in a small form factor
These a power house PCs in a small package. The WiFi works perfectly, the are quick to setup right out of the box. THis had enough ram for me, a person with 15-20 windows open all the time. I have never once thought this was slow but feel it is very fast.

Terrible Radio Chips- Wifi and Bluetooth
I wish I had not bought this in Dec 2024. First, it is a nice little computer. Fast, very quiet and small. I like that. BUT, the radio components in this thing are Garbage! It is located 4 feet closer to my WiFi router than my old system, an Acer desktop unit. My old box had a 90%+ signal strength. This thing does 35% or lower! I ended up buying an external WiFi-to-ethernet bos and connected and RJ-45 cable. The Bluetooth is equally weak. With my old system, I could go to my kitchenette (30 feet with 3 walls between) and still listen to my headphones. With this box, if I get 4 feet away, I start loosing signal and end up dropping the connection. So I went back to my old Acer box after doing some upgrades to it, stripped some components from the Beelink and the rest went in the trash.

Perfect machine to install official SteamOS on!
I bought this specifically to install SteamOS on, and it works *perfectly* for that. I literally took this out of the box, powered it up to get into BIOS to change the boot sequence, and then booted off of the SteamOS recovery image available on their website. I chose to wipe/restore a clean image (which overwrites Windows - BEWARE!), and let it do its thing. Once done installing I paired an Xbox controlled, logged in, and stuck it next to my TV and it has been bulletproof. Wifi works, Bluetooth works, the 1TB store is great. I haven't done heavy 3D gaming yet - I tend to prefer older/simpler games, but so far it is quiet and cool running. Don't expect 4k 3D gaming with ray tracing - it's a limited GPU. But if your expectations are correct, it does just fine. The SteamDeck presets (which is what it loads each game with) perform very well. Overall - if you are looking for a compact machine specifically to install SteamOS on, this is your machine!
