Great little camera
Great little camera. Very small about the length and with of a average man or woman's thumb. Picture quality is very good for only a 2 mega pixel camera. Microphone is very good picks up 64 db i had the radio playing at a comfortable volume and standing around 20 - 30 foot away from it the microphone still picked it up. can clip on to a piece of clothing with the supplied mount and can also rotate 360 degrees on said mount. Very easy to use switch it on LED light on to of camera is blue for fully charged give it a second or two then press the record button next to the LED light on top of the camera the LED then slowly flashes green for recording. All is explained clearly inside the user manual. The sound is on and recording all the time without anyway to turn the microphone off (that I know off). There is a function on the opposite side of the power button called "VOX" I have been told by the manufacturer that this is for when the camera is in standby mode (switched on for 2 mins without detecting movement) the microphone will pick up sound and start recording this can be switched on or off. It will take up to 8GB micro sd card but supplied with a 4GB micro SD card which gives around 2hrs recording. To charge the battery just connect it to the laptop. It can also be used as a web camera which is handy if you don't already have one. Because its not water proof I also bought Veho VCC-A002-WPC Waterproof Case for Muvi Micro Camcorder It doesn't seem to blur the picture which is good but it is slightly bulky. The camera has to be switched on the inserted into the case as there is only a record button on the casing. The casing also comes with a arm strap that stretches and another clip that also rotates 360 degrees. For the price of the camera its very impressive.

Small DVR but consider alternatives
Delivery was uneventful, so cant fault the reseller. However, I have some criticisms of the product itself and some recommendations for alternatives. The device is small (about the size of a USB memory stick, slightly fatter) but its quite compact and sturdy with the case being of metal rather than plastic. There are no protruding parts, so nothing really to snap off. The power button and VOX button on each side are small slider buttons which are a bit fiddly (a finger nail will help) but fine. The record button is a tiny square press button on top of the unit, it works fine. The USB connector is at the bottom (not the flat mini-USB style connection now common on mobile Phones, its the older style D shaped connector). The camera fits quite snugly into the small crocodile-clip holder but the clips 'grip' isn't quite tight and weighted correctly which means that if you clip it to a shirt or jacket the camera will probably droop downwards or off to one side. Not the end of the world. If you want to attach it to your car dashboard or bike then perhaps a piece of velcro-fastener would be most suitable. I found the video quality to be satisfactory but not outstanding. Audio recording wasn't great. One thing that has annoyed me is that I cannot set the 'time' in the device - it doesn't have a clock! Every video .avi file has a creation time of 31st Dec. 2000. I believe the more expensive Pro model has a clock. So far battery life seems okay but I haven't had it long enough to know if it begins to drop off with use. If you want to use this device as an in-car DVR then perhaps you should consider something cheaper such as the "Car Dash Vehicle Recorder" (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B005Q6CJI4), its £14.62 at the time of writing (although you should be aware that it is a typically cheap mass produced product shipped from China; not that the Veho isn't!). If you want a personal DVR for whilst out walking or cycling consider the Toshiba Clip (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007O9ZYQU/). I haven't tried this device myself but it does have a better spec and is slightly cheaper. It also has a small screen to see what you have recorded. Alternatively, for in-car dash or biking consider a cheap mobile phone (you can get an Android phone for £59 at Tesco) and install the FREE DailyRoads Voyager app on Android or the FREE Road Eye app on Windows Phone (haven't checked for an iPhone equivalent). With built in GPS you can even track your journey, upload to DropBox and its a phone too! The Veho VCC-003 is a neat little DVR but they need to do better in terms of its capabilities in order to beat the alternatives.

Disappointed
Veho VCC-003 Muvi Micro DV Camcorder I had read all the reviews and seemed to be a good by especially at £32. All started well delivery was on time and packaged perfectly. The camera came in a box that I had seen in a video review (which did not have white noise problems mentioned later), was impressed by the quality of the cam and accessories that came with it. I got it charged then started to play with it and as like so many others on here (if I had looked at the 1 star reviews)I started to suffer problems. The picture quality was as expected with it's size but it had a terrible white noise problem on the recording if there was not any other sound present. But then I could not get it to record, I would reformat as advised on the site it would work again then stop tried various cards in no effect. So felt I had to return it Amazon were great have refunded no problem. Just wondering whether to try another one pay a little more perhaps for the 4gb one but still not sure. Hope this helps anyone else thinking of buying.

Absolutely useless as a car blackbox. Impossible to shoot when charging, and autonomy only lasts for 2 hours when fully charged. Then you stop and charge from the running engine. The fact omitted in the user manual and mentioned very slightly in the end of a long list of FACs on the manufacturer's site. Good quality of video, though, and good price which make it a good extreme sports camera, but it has no right to position itself as a car one.

For the price, this is a great camera. If you want a HD camcorder with all the bells and whistles then this is not for you, but that is not what you are paying for. Wife bought me this because over the last 15 years I have had a few close calls while walking the dogs when some moron with aggressive dogs running loose came after mine. With this thing if something happens you have a video record of what happened. First the good: It is very small. It works quite well. For the size it gives very nice looking video and sound recording. If you have trouble with playback, take the card out and use the adapter that comes with the card. Mine will not play well from the USB cord but plays fine if I either take the card out or if I just move the file to the computer before trying to watch it. It works as advertized. You need an 8 Gig card. With the 8 Gig mine will record 1:30 and uses about 6 Gigs. When left to run like this it makes a new file every :30. When it is running you have to either let it make a new file every :30 or manually do it. I am sure this is why it only gives 3 :30 clips when I let it run. If I watched it till it gave the low battery warning I am sure I could get a little more. The sound quality, for something this small is quite good. As long as it is not real windy it picks up everything. The first day using it I was walking and heard a couple people arguing in a house across the street. When I got home and played it back you could hear them almost as well as I could hear them. It comes with a neck lanyard and a pocket clip. I use both. Put the lanyard on it just in case it was to fall off. I bought the Extreme Sports Pack 20 bucks at Amazon and it comes with an extra pocket clip in case I break one. The Bad: It is on the heavy side for how small it is. I clip it to a shirt pocket and it was too heavy so it flopped down too far. I solved it by slipping a piece of cardboard into the pocket and it works fine. You can't change the battery it is built in, but mine will give 1:30 of recording no trouble. You can charge it at any USB port though. It uses the standard mini USB cords that work with many music players, cell phones and cameras. It does not have a real wide field of view. About 100 degrees of so, but again this is a very small camera. All in all I am very happy with this. There are some that look like they would be a lot nicer but they are 3 times the price too.
