I use this in the yard for odor control; not quite working for raccoon-abatement or cat-tresspass
I've been experimenting with using black pepper through my yard to discourage raccoons and cats, and was hoping it might also bother or even kill ant colonies. It's an excellent food product of course, but in the yard it's really more of an odor control usage than a deterrent, and that's fine too I don't mind the smell and it cancels out any unpleasant odors in the yard. Squirrels seem to not care that the odor is present and will dig peanuts into your yard right where it's been placed.

Coarse ground pepper ground to a powder
Poor value. I ordered COARSE GROUND and received a 5# jug of pepper ground so fine, it's like dust and tastes like it too. I couldn't return it because it is a food product, even though the foil was peeled back when I opened it. Very disappointed!!!!
