3/16"ID x 5/16"OD Silicone Tubing, 6 Feet - Flexible Food Grade Clear Silicone Tube for Home Brewing, Aquariums, and Medical Applications

Successfully using this tubing with a smallish water pump to conduct water changes both in indoor aquariums and smaller (<1000ga) outdoor ponds. I've always used vinyl tubing so I'm pleasantly surprised at how flexible this silicone material is. That flexibility also makes it a lot easier to press the ends onto the plastic barb fittings common in this hobby - so far, I haven't even needed to add a hose clamp which I always have to do with vinyl. Very happy so far!

This tubing is clearer than it looks in the photos, which is good. It's nice and flexible and works well as a replacement air hose in my son's "fog-free" face mask for his airsoft helmet. It does smell at first, but that will dissipate once it has been out of the packaging for a while. The price is about average for vinyl tubing - and a bit less than you'll pay at the hardware store.

There's not much to say here. It's 1/2" OD silicone tubing. Used for many things, but for me it's the annual fall beer brewing. I had a look at my old tubing and it was stained and questionable as to the cleanliness required.You want to make sure everything is sanitized and clean so you don't kill the yeast. It needs to do it's magic or it's all for naught. This 10' length will keep me going for the next 5 years I'm sure.

This silicone tubing is safe, flexible, and exactly as advertised. I'm using this tubing in my aquarium and it works perfectly for my intended purpose. I would recommend.

This silicone tubing is very clear. It’s also fairly thick-walled and firm. It’s not floppy like other silicone tubing I’ve used and looks like it could be used with vacuum or moderate pressure gases. This tubing looks to be well made with no apparent defects along the walls. A very strong and unpleasant chemical smell came from the tubing after removal from the packing. I wanted to use this tubing to transfer gases and liquids between ¼” barb fittings. I like using silicone tubing because it’s flexible and can stretch over barb fittings. It was fairly easy to push this tubing over those fittings. It’s also easy to clean and sanitize (it can withstand boiling water).The price seems reasonable at about $1/ft (silicone tubing is not cheap) and it comes in reasonable lengths (10ft).

I used this to connect a septic air pump to the 5/16 air diffuser pipe. The hose is very flexible and clear. You can pinch it closed with your fingers which you really cannot do with vinyl tubing. It worked well for my application
