ClosetMaid 1546 Stackable 10-Cube Organizer, Espresso

Product is just as I expected. It was easy to assemble and all the parts came in the packages that I received. I bought 5 for my closet. The openings are big enough for two normal shoes, stacked on top of each other, but, larger sneakers, those with large soles, will need 2 openings. The dividers are very easy to put together and little plastic pegs keep them from slipping. The divider material is thick enough for shoes. I read other reviews and was concerned about the dividers, but, their of better quality than others indicated. After all, this unit is for shoes and not very heavy items like, say, ammo storage? They come with a cardboard backing which helps square up the unit as you nail it into the back. Comes with a piece to screw into the stud. Laminated piece is good looking and easy to clean. Screws into predesignated holes. The plastic caps to cover the screws can be hammered into the top of the screw to keep it in place without the edges showing. Put the white caps on the exposed screws first as not all caps will survive the hammering that it takes to properly cover the screws. Yes, I used a rubber mallet. Individual horizontal dividers can be easily pulled out to accomodate taller shoes like boots. The horizontal dividers slip into individual grooves cut out of the longer vertical divider.

We have a 3 foot deep by 4 foot wide closet that we just redid and these cubbies really helped with shoe organization. These were built to stand upright, but will work laying down. My suggestion if your using them in the sideways position like we are, do not put heavy shoes on the upper cubbies. The dividers are not solid/heavy duty and have some flex to them.

You can expect to replace this in a month of there are ANY children EVER around it. Cubby holes can't even hold my husband's one shoe🥴. Which I bought it for over flow shoe space. Can't really return it unless you break it all back down. Instructions were mediocre. Not happy!

I purchased 3 of these for my shoes. They were easy to put together. They seem very sturdy. For most of my shoes (size 8.5-9), I could get both pairs in one slot. For my boots, only one shoe per slot. My husband wears a size 13 shoe, they are not deep enough for his shoes. You could do it, but they would hang out. The only thing that I would change is for them to be deeper and just a little bigger slots. But overall, I am very pleased with them.

I did not want to store shoes in individual shoe boxes, prefer something more easy access. This not only is great for shoes but each cubbie is large enough that you can store other items as well (rolled up sweatpants, accessories, scarves etc.)

Decent quality but smaller than we thought. Looks bigger on line. Got for my teenage son for a shoe rack and it does not fit his shoes. easy to put together. Would not be keeping it if I did not have to take it all apart.

Not the world’s most beautiful shoe storage but gets the job done. Easy to put together. Great for stacking

Arrived with chipped pressboard corners. Backing is like paper, with wrong corresponding letter from instructions. Had to glue and use brown marker to fix. Honestly, you get what you pay for. Should have paid a little more for better quality & an assembled organizer.
