Surprisingly Delicious!!
Impressive flavor! Low calorie and unmeat!! Pleasantly surprised. I’m gonna buy more!!! The can says to microwave for 45 seconds however I think more time is better so I nuke it for 2 minutes (cover it due to splatter!). I just went vegetarian a month ago and am moving this to top 5 in my food staples! Well done to the company/owner/packaging etc!!!!

Surprisingly Good for a Meatless Chili
The unMEAT Plant-Based Chili with Beans is a delicious "ready to heat and eat" meal that may make the carnivores in your house believers in plant-based goodness. I honestly did not have high hopes for this chili. The chili takes only a few minutes heat and it's ready to eat. The chili is thick, full of flavor, and is full of vegetables, beans, and "meat". I was honestly surprised at how good this chili tasted. While I probably wouldn't mistake the plant protein for meat, it tasted good enough that I wouldn't miss the meat. The only thing that was missing from this chili was spicy heat. This isn't necessarily a bad thing since you can always add some additional spices or peppers to make it more full bodied, but by itself, it was pretty good. The husband also mentioned that he thought it was a bit salty, but I ate it with cornbread, so I couldn't tell. Overall, it's a tasty shelf stable quick meal option to consider if you're looking for a savory plant-based snack.

Love this!
Unmeat products are the best plant based food products on the market! I am a huge fan of the chili, tuna flakes, luncheon burger flavored meat and roast beef (all plant based) products sold by Unmeat.

Really good for canned chili
This is a 15 ounce pop-top can of plant based chili with beans, from UnMeat. It arrived in perfect condition and factory sealed. I make a lot of homemade chili, but it's great to be able to find quality canned products for when things are too busy to make my own. I am neither vegetarian nor vegan, but I choose to eat plant based meat substitutes pretty frequently because I really enjoy them, so I was happy to have the chance to try this chili. Opening the can, it looks just about identical to every other canned chili, which is pretty impressive since this is plant based. It has beans in what I consider to be a good ratio compared to the amount of meat substitute. I was worried there would be too many beans but that was not the case. The texture of the meat substitute is excellent. It would be difficult to tell it wasn't meat. I thought the seasonings were very good as well. It's got just enough spicy kick to it, and you can definitely taste the cumin and other seasonings as well. The can is only 420 calories, has a reasonable amount of sodium for a canned food, and a whopping 32 grams of protein. My only small complaint is that it is too tomato-forward. Some tomato in chili is expected, but in this the first ingredient is tomato sauce. I feel like to be a proper chili it would be better for the sauce to be more chile paste and less tomato. Nevertheless, this is probably one of the top two or three canned chilis I've ever had, and much better than any of the big name meat based chilis. I also really appreciate the company's commitment to environmental sustainability.
