Trusting very important documents with this thing. I love the size of it and the quality. Just hope if the time comes, it does what it's supposed to do.

This is a nice, sturdy case for holding documents. I bought it to hold some important documents like wills, trusts, etc. After the series of devastating wild fires here in California that swept through neighborhoods and leveled houses, I got to thinking I should probably at least try to protect some of these documents. So, I searched for fireproof boxes and settled on this document box. Now, it’s hard to review the effectiveness of something you really don’t want to test. I have no doubt this box would work fine in a typical house fire that could be extinguished with water. The box is fireproof and water proof so could withstand some fire and the water used to extinguish the fire. But a devastating, house-leveling firestorm? Dunno. I’m sure the exterior of the box could withstand a high temperature fire, but I’m not too sure about the interior. There are nylon compartments and mesh and some plastic file folder holders. Now, paper self-ignites at 451 degrees Fahrenheit, so any fire hotter than that I would not expect good results for the documents. But nylons can melt at 374 degrees and plastics (depending on the kind) can melt at 320 degrees. So, documents might have melted nylon and plastics coating them after a fire. I placed my documents in manila file folders so the folders would absorb the melted synthetics. But I really can’t say what would happen in a fire, and I’m not planning to find out through testing purposely. But besides the protection aspects, this is a nice case for collecting all your important stuff into. The lock is good for keeping out the occasional snoop, but looks to be easily broken if someone really wanted to get into it. Of course, a thief could simply carry the whole case away. So, in conclusion, be careful and stay safe.

Great product but I can’t reset the combination! I know how to do it but when you push in the button, the combustion wheels won’t turn!

Great storage and so many options on how to organize. Nothing has broken so far and I have been into it and through all files more than 30 times.

While I am hesitant to test it's claims of being fireproof or waterproof, I can attest that this seems to be a far more sturdy option than a standard laptop bag/satchel. Has room for all my documents, cards, pens, drives, mouse, body camera, charger cords, power supplies, and diapers and wipes for my kid. One improvement i would suggest is adding a shoulder strap fkr carrying. All that stuff gets heavy.
