Is the arch support strong?

Yes... The arch support is just as good but less intrusive as the traditional superfeet. My arches are supported but I don't feel like I have a ping pong ball in my shoe under my arch. They are softer in the heel but still cup your heel and provide the arch support you need without that overly firm feeling. I love these and use versions of them in all my shoes now. I use to be a superfeet orange buy as I'm over 6'2 and 250lbs with high arches. These provide more flexibility for athletic shoes if you run or lift weights without making it feel like your wearing combat boot insoles or something. They fit in my shoes so much better too. My feet dont have any roll out threat as I may have with the traditional superfeet because they sit at the height the shoe was designed for my heel to sit at. My only doubt I have with them if they may not last as long as the traditional orange or greens... but better part of a year and no problems..

How does this compare to the me style with respect to arch fit and thickness? the me 2/3 fits me well but not the green or the berry

The shape and thickness of the two insoles are very similar. The two insoles were made with different primary uses in mind, so let how you spend time on your feet be the guide! The FLEX line was made with athletic use in mind. The high rebound foam will mean that it feels a little firmer underfoot during high impact activities. The foam in the me line of insoles is going to feel a little more cushioned overall, the line being designed with casual use in mind. I hope this helps and you're enjoying a new pair soon!
