I thought this was a setting gel/foam. I have very straight hair and need a little help to hold curl. I don't think this is the correct product for that, but it smells so nice. So it didn't work for me - as it was designed to do - but I love the scent of Lemon Merrangue in my hair. I use it for volume.

Just as described, and as demonstrated in a video I watched. It smells very good, but it is a soft scent and dissipates quickly, actually to quickly because I like it so much! I have thick course curly hair, and I put this on after the leave in curl cream I have, and it works great. It is a good hold. If your hair is not as thick and or course/ you probably could just use this alone after you wash and rinse out condition.

Years ago I used a similar product for curly hair and liked what I read about this one. I’m still a little on the fence about how much I do or don’t like it.The scent is fine—very lemon-meringue, as described by other reviewers. It dispenses as a gel and quickly foams up into a mousse-like consistency. Frizz control is not as good as other products I use; but this type of product tends to have a higher alcohol content, so that could be the reason my curls look more dry than defined. I like that it’s a cruelty-free product. Maybe I need to spend some more time playing with it, but atm it’s not on my go-to product list.

Love this stuff so much. I have low density, fine, 3a curly waves and it does not weigh them down at all. I get my perfectly formed ringlets without a ton of products to stretch my curls down. If lift is what you need, then I'd give this a try. It's great for low humidity weather. I live in a tropical climate so most of the year i have to layer it with a light weight gel underneath. But if not for the humidity, this would definitely streamline the process for me so much.

First time using it, I loved it. Smells good like the rest of the cake line.

I have 2b/2c wavy average porosity healthy hair with some highlights. Currently shoulder length. This is my new favorite product. I used to love Verb’s gel-mousse before they changed the formula but this one is even better. My only gripe with it is the strong lemon merengue scent, but it’s not unpleasant and it goes away.
