Low sound, works well
I am not a gamer but I do a lot on my laptop. I use it for a part time job, full time college courses, and for pleasure. One of the worst things I can do is to allow it to get hot. I have an HP Pavilion 360x Convertible 15.6 inch laptop and for the most part it sits on my desk angled where on the screen is visible to me and I use a full size wireless keyboard and a wireless mouse but I don't like being confined to my desk all the time. Sitting it on my lap causes it to get hot and keeping it opened like a tablet does not allow for much air to get to the bottom. I wanted more options to use my laptop and to still feel comfortable with what I am doing so I purchased this Laptop Cooler.This laptop cooler comes well protected in bubble wrap inside of a retail box. The box has images on it and the back of the box has details about it printed out. There is also a USB cable included to connect the laptop to a power source whether it be the tablet or an outlet. The laptop cooler has 5 fan; two large ones on the right and left and 3 small ones in a row up the center. Each fan has an LED light that lights up in red. They dim when the fans are turned down and turn off when the fans are turned off. The mesh that covers the fans is metal so that the weight of the laptop does not push the mesh into the fans. On the back are pieces that allow the laptop cooler to be angled and used as a stand. It has 7 settings. There are also rubber pieces that keep the cooler from slipping. At the bottom is what looks like a battery slot cover which comes off and sits in a slot on the front to prevent to the device from sliding off the cooler when it is in an angled position.On the right side of the cooler there are two dials that control the fans and lights together. One controls the large fans and the other controls the small fans. Also on the right side, are two USB ports. One needs to be used to connect the laptop cooler to a power source which can be an outlet or the laptop to power the fans and LED lights. If it is plugged into a laptop then whatever is plugged into the second one also connects to the laptop but if it is only plugged into a power source then the second one is only for power. The laptop cooler uses one USB port and provides one in return so it evens it.The fans are unbelievably low in sound. I can hear them when my laptop is not on it but I can barely hear it once my laptop is on it. Several times I have lifted my laptop up to see if the fans were still working because I could not hear them with normal sounds around me. I do wish that I could turn the lights off without turning the fans off though. This would be something I would definitely change about it if I could.This laptop cooler is great for my laptop. I like that it keeps my laptop cool, of course, but it also makes using my laptop more convenient. I can set it up any way that I need and make it work for me. If I am not using the the laptop keyboard I can use it like a tablet and angle the stand so I can view the screen easily but when I do want to use the laptop keyboard I can adjust the angle and the screen to make it a perfect view. With the baffle that sits inside the slit I do not have to worry about my laptop sliding off the cooler. Heck, I can even use it to stand up my wireless keyboard when I am at my desk.This laptop cooler came in very handy this past weekend when I had family over but had a couple important papers to write. My desk is in the main area of the house and it was too loud to work in there so I set up the laptop cooler on my bed and used my wireless keyboard to do get a lot of my work done.Other than not being able to control the LED lights individually, I am very pleased with this laptop cooler.

Stylish cooling pad but make sure you understand its true benefits.
Laptop cooling pads are pretty popular right now so I thought I would give one a try as I just bought a new Asus ROG Strix Scar gaming laptop. Aesthetically this cooling pad looks nice and matches my gaming laptop well.Here is the truth about functionality (and this is the same for all cooling pads). Is it going to massively cool your computer? No. In reality internally is where the heat is generatec and the internal fans are going to be what is going to drop the temperature of your laptop. This cooling pad will probably only lower the internal temperature 1-2 degrees.In my opinion there are 2 situations where these cooling pads provide a big benefit. The first is to change the angle of the laptop. I really like the adjustable rear legs as it allows for a customizable tilt that I enjoy when typing/gaming. The second major benefit is when you are using your laptop on your actual lap or soft surface like a bed or a couch. When using it on your lap the warm under surface can be very uncomfortable. Also, when using a lap top on your leaks or soft surfaces it often blocks the natural air flow beneath the lap top causing it to build up more heat. This cooling pad provides a lot of air flow especially when using the fans on those types of surfaces.The bottom line is if you have a laptop that tends to overheat naturally, this probably won't help. However, if you want some adjustability in the angle of your laptop or you use your laptop on the surfaces mentioned you will see a huge improvement.

Not what I expected
*LOOK FOR UPDATED REVIEW AT THE END*ORIGINAL REVIEW: 2 stars because the fans turn on, the LED lights turn on, it is not all plastic and you can set it in different angles. That's it! Disappointments: (1) Many people have said that the fans on this cooling pad are almost noiseless, and that is 100% correct, but why? Because they do not push any air at all!!! Not the small fans, nor the big ones. When you place your hands over the fans you will barely feel a tiny breeze. I can compare it to the breeze that you may feel when someone pushes air out ot their mouth through a straw, and that person is 10 feet away from you. Air flow on this device is almost nothing. So, of course it will be super quiet. (2) Since there is no air flow, what is the purpose of this device??? (3) The red areas on the corners, they ARE NOT like in the picture, and this is a huge disappointment for me, because this device was going to be used to cool down a router that has the same matching red plastic of the picture. Instead of the red blastic, it has a clear/dark red plastic, which looks horrible and makes the whole thing to look cheap. Bottom line: I do not know if I got a defective cooling pad, but well, it is what it is.UPDATED REVIEW: The seller contacted me a few days after I post the original review. After exchanging several emails, it seemed to be that the item that I got was defective. They offered and exchange or refund but I decided for the refund because of point #3 above. So, instead of 2 stars I am bumping up to 3 stars because I cannot review the performance a product that was defective. The two missing stars are related to point #3 above. It is very deceitful to post a picture of a product that is not yours. This product seems to be a clone of three others that I found online and the original one is the one pictured in the description. The red plastics were the major selling point for me.Anyway, I am glad that the seller has great customer service and they did what they had to do to remediate the problem with the malfunction. They never made any comments about the red-colored plastics, though. If the color of the plastics does not bother, I would recommend giving it a shot, since based on my experience, the seller should support you if anything goes wrong.
