When I ordered this product I had read the reviews and people said some really foul things about this. I received my bottle this morning and so, shaved and tried it out with much anticipation. The cooling effect is instant and it absorbs quickly. The lavender scent is very subtle in this one but it’s there, it’s definitely more citrus forward, but it instantly soothes the skin and smells great!! As far as value for money goes? It’s all in what you value. I appreciate all-natural products and I don’t mind paying a bit more for it. This one was a bit over $15, but given its excellent quality? I’m thrilled!! If you’re on the fence and not really sure if you want to take the plunge? Go ahead, it’s a solid purchase and you won’t be disappointed.

This stuff is pretty nice and is perfect for the holiday season :) The scent is amazing and my Daughter told me "You smell like gum, and that's not a bad thing" lol

It is Bay Rum and it is very minty. Otherwise it is great

This would have been perfect, but the Mint was so overpowering. As far as the ingredients, it was great for my skin, closing my pores and soothing. Recommend they change the label to mint only.

I like that the scent is bold on application. Not sure I classify it as "Bay Rum". It smells more like nutmeg and vanilla to me.

Shhhhhh, don't tell anybody!

I liked the base of this aftershave. I've used aftershaves in the past, such as Blades Grim, that used witch hazel as the disinfectant. Supposedly it doesn't kill everything the way isopropyl does, but it also doesn't suck all the moisture out of my face. The aftershave itself was non-irritating and smooth, as expected. The fragrance, Excalibur on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. I was expecting something a little more in line with the shave cream I use, which is Jack Black; that "barbershop" smell, because I. Am. Over. Sandalwood. The tobacco scent is very punchy, and smells like a new pleather couch; whether or not that's a good thing I suppose is personal preference. I might be willing to try the Bay Rum or Urban Woods in the future. If those smell better, will update the review, but for now the 2 stars is just for the quality of the aftershave, the fragrance was terrible.
